On tap at FCB. Reddish brown with an off white head and sticky lacing. The aroma is caramel, dark fruits and toasted malts. Similar flavor with bitter, resinous hops. Full, thick body, creamy and smooth. Pretty good. kevinator (2205) - The Colony, Texas, USA - OCT 24, 2012
I was fortunate to sample this with the brewer at a local FC bar. Good guy and passionate about what he does. Nice cloudy amber color with a little head and not much lacing. Hops and sweet malt with some caramel tones are in the aroma. A little more carbonation than I would have expected and a smooth oily texture. With as many IBU’s as he claimed I wasn’t overwhelmed with bitterness. The malt presence could have been a little sweeter. The alcohol was hidden well.
