A NICE RED ALE POURS AN AMBER COLOR AND GOES DOWN NICE AND SMOOTH. MILDLY HOPPY VERY DRINKABLE. troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - OCT 16, 2008
(Bottle) Pours a dark amber color with a red hue. About an inch of foam on top. Caramel and light molasses in the aroma. Brown sugar and sweet nut in the taste. Just the right amount of hops for balance. Good mouthfeel and body. Not much stands out here, but the good mouthfeel makes a lot of the difference in a beer of this type. Bottle. Pours a brown ruby body with a frothy head. fruity additive cherry flavor with malt undertones. Not a good blend and a bit metallic also. ouch, miss. lithy (2996) - Capital of Appalachia, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 30, 2008
Deep reddish-brown with a light tan head with nice lacing as it collapses slowly. Candy apple aroma, caramel, very malty with hints of artificial/medicinal grape or cherry flavors. Nice smooth feel with malts that hint again at the medicinal cherry flavor. A finish of light hops and a slight steely metallic presence. lumpsowers (288) - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA - SEP 29, 2008
Deep copper, almost brown, thick rocky head and foamy lacing. Bitter and hoppy, low fruit notes, alcoholic finish, not bad.

UPDATED: SEP 27, 2011 Pours a clear reddish amber with fair lacing and wispy tan head. Roasty and malty nose. A little mettalic penny in the flavor, but I attribute this to the bottle being a little old perhaps?
Rerated as a red banshee. Same pour as before, but with more lacing. No metallic notes. Still mainly malty, but does have that spicy floral hop note. nice. ucusty (2693) - raleigh, North Carolina, USA - SEP 25, 2008
