Pours a deep red with a toasty brown head. Aroma of malt and a touch of hoppiness. Taste is on the toasty side with a nice bitterness that finishes. Gregis (1281) - Stilwell, Kansas, USA - OCT 29, 2007
Pours a deep, clear, reddish brown with a small, creamy, beige head, decent lacing and tons of rising bubbles. The nose is a solid malty/peaty front with lightly fruity hops in the background. Light to medium-bodied with a super slick palate and a toasted, lightly dry finish. The flavor follows the nose with toasted and lightly peaty malt backed by just enough fruity hop bite to keep things in balance. I’m not a big fan of most ambers, but this one is pretty decent. sneagrams3 (2337) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - OCT 20, 2007
Tasted 9/28/07. 12oz bottle. Ruby amber hued. Big bubbled ring of off-white head. Malty with slightly musty aromas. Bready malts. Touch citrus in the nose. Medium bodied with a moderate roast. Light effervescence. Nice bitter hoppy finish. Nice malts, but the bright hops overwhelm. Nice cocoa note as it warms. Tight yet mild effervescence. Mild bitterness. Decent enough. redlight (2318) - Orlando, Florida, USA - OCT 17, 2007
draft @ brewery. Nutty with hints of roasty aromas. Pours amber red. Smooth and caramelly, good malt flavor, with hints of hops. Session beer. mtoast (336) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 6, 2007
12oz bottle. Pours a deep red color with white foam that fades quickly leaving a just a thin layer of foam, decent lacing. Aroma is biscuit malt with a little bit of earthy hoppiness. Flavor is big on crystal and biscuit malts, little bit of hoppiness in the finish, very low carbonation. Just a tad too sweet for me, but overall a solid amber ale.

has a nice hoppy/chocolate aroma, had a bit of a sweet chocolate flavor to it to, not all that bad. thegreenrooster (4364) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - SEP 28, 2007
Pour is a dark red with a average tan head. Aroma is like chocolate covered berries. Sweet but lots of dark malts. Flavor is a very sweet caramel malt wth some hop and a touch of dark chocolate. An ok beer and prob one of the best from this brewer but that is not saying much. Headbanger (3989) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - SEP 20, 2007
12oz bottle-A dark ruby red body with a medium off white head and an aroma malts, hops, and some caramel. Taste was the same with a good balance between the fllavors. buckybeer (666) - Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 19, 2007
A dark clean amber / copper with a medium off white head. Aroma is pretty big malt. Not getting much for hops at all. Flavor is sourish malt, light cocoa and roast and maybe a touch of citrus and hops. There is some nice lacing as this glass slowly empties. cheap (5792) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 17, 2007
Pretty dark but not real dark, more like dark ruby red in color when under the sun. Some chocolate or malt hints. Mild yeasty aroma with good smooth carbonation. Very little bitterness and well controlled offense. Some hop bite. Yes, does come across with a choco malt at times. Finish is medium mild bitter hop medicine.
