355ml can. Dark amber pour. Aroma is herbal, some caramel, inoffensive. Flavor is toffee, nougat, some brown sugar, sweetish, but a proper winter warmer.

12oz can 7/17/17 (Courtesy Of TerryR)-38° in Shaker-Pours brown with a small tan head. Aroma of brown sugar, coffee, and malt. Taste of vanilla, hazelnut, brown sugar, and chocolate. This medium to full bodied brew is well balanced and quite tasty.

12 ounce can at home. Bought at Brookfield Wisconsin. Good aroma, a little on nutty side. Reddish brown in color. Taste the nuts, malt, and very smooth. Medium feel on the tongue. Overall I really like this beer and would be very nice during the holidays.

12 ounce can from Brennan’s Brookfield. Clearly this was a bit old when I bought it last week! Hopefully it will hold up. Best by date on the bottom of the can is completely illegible. Hazy dark red, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of nuts, oak, brown sugar, coffee, vanilla. The taste is coffee, nuts, chocolate, oak, vanilla, plum. Medium bodied, warming. Nice.

Very good brown ale. Lots of rye bread, some molasses, and coffee. Hints of vanilla and a lingering sweetness.

12 oz. can. Pours a medium, well retained, light beige head, with moderate lacing, over a clear brown (SRM 20) body.......nose is coffee, light nuttiness, light oak, hints of vanilla.......taste is slightly brown sugar sweet, with coffee, hazelnut, mild oak, slight vanilla, moderate cocoa, chocolate, finishing with mild bitterness.....mouth feel, medium light body, slight alcohol, moderate carbonation. This is a pleasant, easy drinking, cold weather beer, which would be much too rich in summer. To really be an Imperial it needs a bit more alcohol warmth. BJCP 7/3/15/4/7

12 oz single can from Molly’s Spirits. Brown appearance with a tan head. Rich, malty aroma with notes of chocolate, coffee, oak and a hint of brown sugar. Similar flavor, nutty and malty with light vanilla notes. Moderately sweet and mildly bitter with a medium body and a rich, tasty finish.

12oz can. Wow, this is a really great Brown Ale. Deep amber-brown body. Steady off-white head. Smooth and creamy, big oak notes work perfectly with the sweet malts. An absolutely ideal Brown Ale, fresh and delicious. Full bodied but extremely drinkable. Excellent. World Class.
