Bomber from the Folsom BevMo. Pours very brown/black with a bubbly creamy tan head. Aroma is sort of swampy/herby citrus over dark near burnt malt. Med+ body. Flavor is quite citrus/resin over very dark burnt malt. We’re talking dry and astringent. And bitter. In the finish I think resin is the winner. A little creamy chocolate note pops up, but fagetaboudit. This is bitter, bitter, bitter. Great ale. Ratman197 (15113) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - MAR 13, 2011

The taste is chocolate, raisin, bitter pine and resin hops, candied fruits. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness. More like a hoppy Brown than a Black IPA, but still really good.
