Clear golden but with some rust. Flavor is nothing big but is nice. Some soft fruit, caramel that is sometimes molasses, alcohol, earth. I wish this were more complex and flavorful. grant (842) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - SEP 25, 2010
Bottle shared by DYCSoccer17. Moderate amber color, fine head. Roasty grain aroma, somewhat minty. Doughy but rich malt body followed by slightly catty, woody hops component on exhalation. Substantial finishing bitterness, avoiding to some extent the syrupy gloop problem plaguing many wheat wines. Lingering maltiness and a sweet, lightly tart finish. Bomber. Poured lovely crystal-clear copper with a short, sticky cap of beige head. The aroma picked up sweet redder fruits and berries over a bed of soft, candied caramel.. some tangy, earthy wheat accented.. there was some underlying warmth, but it was really good on the nose. The flavor found similar caramel and fruit at the core with a touch of molasses.. tart wheat and citrus (more along the lines of grapefruit) on the edges.. some residual sugars and prickly, harsh-ish alcohol on the finish. Medium-plus bodied with higher carbonation on the palate.. a little sugary and boozy for my liking, but not a bad brew overall. maniac (3800) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - SEP 17, 2010

This poured an amber color with a moderate off white head. The aroma contains some caramel, toffee, biscuits, and bananas. The flavor contains some caramel, bananas, biscuits, and booze. The aftertaste is quite sweet and boozey. This is much darker than any wheat wine I’ve had. Overall this is not a session beer and as per usual too sweet for my liking but ok in small amounts.

22 ounce bottle purchased at Veteran’s Liquor in Colorado Springs. Husky, musty, malty aroma with good sweetness present. Lightly fruity and fairly aromatic. Transparent amber body with a yellowish head that is medium in size. Very sweet, sugary start with some caramel notes. Light husky, dusty wheat flavors in the middle. Light hops to finish. Sweet and a bit cloying. Lacks some inspiration. mackus2 (156) - Edison, New Jersey, USA - SEP 8, 2010

Bottle shared by Kyle, thanks! Poured a clear deep amber with a muted yellow head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was strong wheat with a hint of pine. Flavor was similarly strong one note wheat with just a hint of pine. Nice and smooth, almost syrupy. Would have enjoyed a bit more complexity here. Strong off-white head of fine bubbles. Minimal carbonation. Weak and fruity aroma with some sweet tarts, sweet malts and some malts. Color is a dark copper brown. Sweet and malty flavor with a strong alcohol presence. Mostly malts and hottness. Medium bodied. Finishes sweet and malty. Not a very good barleywine.
