On tap, not the smokiest or the best lager. It has a bit of diacetyl and a flat graininess.

12oz bottle. Poured a deeper reddish-orange with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of smoke, caramel, and burnt orange peel (hmmm, have I actually ever smelled that). Tastes of smoke, caramel, and some citrus. Smoke on the subtle side and not overboard. A little on the sweeter side. Thinner body.

j12601 (13094) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - OCT 13, 2008
Bottle. Light red copper color with an almost non-existant pale white head. Aroma is smoky, but faint. Hints of malt, but not much else. Mildly sweet with fine carbonation. Finish is light and refreshingly bitter though I wish more of the smoke would come back. Very drinkable.
