Z Lager is an exotic lager with a slight aromatic smoke flavor, perfect for any occasion. Slight caramel undertones and a bright amber color compliment Z’s prominent smoke flavors.

Fuck this beer. Smells like hickory wood chips, tastes like teriyaki sauce and salt. Fort Collins Brewery tried a little too hard on this one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From Sep 2006 Poured from 12oz bottle a hazy reddish-gold with a an ample head of foam that shrank quickly but left a layer that remained for the entire session. The smell is of semi sweet malt with a touch of smoke. The taste is woody with notes of smoke and roasted malt. The smoke, to me, is more noticeable midway through and in the finish where it *does* have a bit of harshness to it but, all in all, I like this brew and find it pretty drinkable.

(Draught) Pours a clear copper body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of caramel, grain, and light smoke. Flavor of smoke, grain, light toffee, and earthiness.

Bottle at home from notes. Pours a clear amber copper color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have a mild to moderate smoked character, caramel, some earthy notes, wood, hints of fruit, apple, cherry, body is lighter, overall, just ok.

Nice dark amber color. Small amount of head. Smells of dark smokey malts. Leaves a dry feeling on the tongue.

This was a better beer than I had imagined. Pours a crystal clear amber. Very slight aroma of smoke but mostly caramel and malt. Flavor has more smoke but it isn't overpowering. Not a fan of the style but this is probably the best one I've ever had. Medium bodied. Very nice beer.

GABF week 2012. On tap at the brewery. Pours with a clear orange hue with a lasting off-white head. Aromas are malty, bready, honey, light smoke, toasty, nutty and dried fruit. Flavors are smokey, nutty, maple, molasses. Fuller bodied with medium carbonation.

12oz bottle pours a cloudy amber color with off white head. plenty of carbonation and floaters. minimal lacing so far. strange aroma of caramel and smoke. almost a semi sweet smell. flavor is well...caramelly sweet smoke. almost a medium bodied lager but this is not a good smoked beer.

Bottle. Pours red with a small head. Aroma has malts and caramel, kinda boozy. Nice, smoky and sweet flavor, malty overall. Little chocolatey at the end. Pretty decent. 4.5% alcohol.
