Pours clear copper with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, citrus, peach, pine and orange. Taste is medium sweet and medium to heavy bitter with a long caramel and citrus and orange bitter finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle, 22oz. Lots of microfloaties in this one, amber in color and with a small, dense, light beige head. The aroma is rather piney and resiny with citrus zest and some caramel maltyness. A bit roasted too, both in the aroma and the flavor. There’s a nice bitterness in the flavor, with malty sweetness in the back. Pine cones and resins. Lasting finish. Lacking a bit on complexity this one, but it’s a fine beer anyway. 141024 Rasmus40 (21979) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - OCT 24, 2014

Thanks to cards04. This beer poured from the an a hazy brown-orange with a nice foam head. Aroma has a lot more malt than expected. Citrus hops, caramel malt, and a little brown sugar. Medium body with a substantial mouthfeel. Lots of toasted malts compliment the hop bitterness. I like this beer but I wouldn’t say it’s a west coast style with the ample use of toasted and caramel malts. Still, it’s well balanced and quite tasty.
