16 oz. can. No can dating. Aroma shows sweet roasted malt, bitter dark chocolate, and barley. Taste is pretty nice. Has some bitter chocolate gives it some balance without any hop profile. Ash and some caramel notes. Nicely dry texture. The ABV is mostly hidden here. Body is not entirely as full as I expect but... The flavor is great and that is what counts most. Appearance: Dark Black brown. Opaque. Finger of tan foam.
Nose: Deeply roasted chocolate malts. Roasted cereal, coffee and a little bit of vanilla.
Taste: Dark roasted coffee bitters, with sweeter dark chocolate notes. hints of fruit, vanilla and caramel. Decent bitter finish
Body: medium to fuller and silky.
Parting thoughts: A very decent Imperial stout. Rich, dark and roasty.

Tap at a dive bar in the Oregon coast. Black, of coirse. Served too cold. Heacy roast, some coffee and chocolate. Alcohol is noticeable in the flavor and aroma. Medium oalate, a little cocoa powder grit. Solid beer.

Can, shared with the team at Barbarian Brewery in Lima. Dissipating gray-tan head. Rather robust dark pour. Lots of bitter chocolate and some coffee bean on nose. 16 oz can received in a trade. Very dark body with a dark tan head. Plenty of roasted malt aroma reminiscent of espresso and mocha which is highlighted by hops notes of pine and citrus peeking out. Mouthfeel is pretty big. This struck me as a big American stout, not quite imperial stout territory, but it’s straddling that line so much so that’s it’s a tough call. Roasty notes of espresso are highlighted by bitter hops but this is balanced by well-rounded chocolate flavors. The finish is on the dry end of the style, but certainly has some welcome sugars to complete the profile. Tall can from Elizabeth Station. Canned on 2016-11-22. Pours an almost black with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, dark fruits. Taste is oily, roasted malt and hoppy bitterness. Same aftertaste. 500ml can @ Portland area hotel room beer. Pours black with a small tan head. Nose is well roasted. Flavour is a moderate roasted bitterness throughout, however some chocolate dances around the palate. A touch bitter for my interests, but good otherwise. Pours two fingers of tan head on a black body. Aroma is coffee, roasted malt and dark chocolate. Taste has some milk, lots of coffee bean bitterness, some dark chocolate. Texture is smoother.
