Nose is slightly offensive, burnt, and acidic. Taste is all coffee and very burnt and sharp. Not pleasant. No real hop presence. Masked my bad coffee

Can. Pours hazy orange with thick white head. Aroma is strong coffee, citrus hops, roasty, vanilla. Taste is strong coffee, bitter finish, medium-bodied, smooth for being such a hoppy/ coffee style beer. Overall, really good.

Can from 99 bottles. Pours a hazy golden color. Thin white head. Scent is all coffee. Some hops. Taste’s like coffee! Hops follow. It’s a weird combo but it totally works. Good beer.

Would have been a wish lister if I hadn’t just added it. FtG is solid, and this newish beer sounded really cool. Found a single at John’s Market. Aroma instantly hits the nose. Big nose of 80% coffee (so nice) and 20% hops. Hazy golden ale. Hard to tell if this is fresh and the hops are supposed to take a back seat, or if it’s sat. No date. Either way, pretty damn good beer. Sessionable yet contemplative (love that kinda beer)...wonderful roasted coffee flavor as well with an underpining of cirus and earthy hops. If this were slightly more balanced it would have scored even higher

On tap at bier thirty. Pours out a crisp golden topped with a long lasting white head. Nose is holy coffee spicy jalapeno and a nice hop kick. Taste is as the nose with lots of coffee and spice. A little bitterness on the end.

Can:   Coffee aroma, soft hop, a bit soil like.   Fairly good balance on the tongue, hoppy, a bit more citrusy but still a touch of soil, with a coffee background.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Wished the hoppiness were a tad sweeter to counteract the coffee.   Decent otherwise.

16 oz can. Pours clear light amber / dark gold, with a sudsy, barely whisked egg white head. Aroma: caramel; earth; a little bit herbal. Not a huge coffee aroma. There’s a coffee-cola thing going on, and the earthiness (combined with some roastiness) is reminiscent of a slightly burnt, crusty whole grain bread just out of the oven. Reminds me of the last loaf of bread I made, actually. No real coffee to speak of, even in the taste. Medium body, a little thick and almost syrupy; light carbonation – it feels thick, sluggish, and heavy on the tongue. Lightly sweet, lasting bitter finish with a little bit of nondescript spiciness (think: cayenne and curry powder mixed with dirt and alcohol). Overall: In case it didn’t come through in my description, this one doesn’t really work for me. Coffee doesn’t come through in any positive way, so the result is just a sort of odd IPA that feels muddy and a little off. I’ve so enjoyed other coffee IPAs, though, that I’ll check out the next batch of this if this gets brewed again.

On draught at imperial Star Wars beerfest - pours clear golden with medium thick white head. Nose of aromatic coffee and grain. Taste is of intense coffee followed by grain and hop finish. Coffee actually overpowering the hop though still nice beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On draught at Imperial Bottle Shop & Taproom for May the Fourth Be With You event. Deceptive clear golden color. Aroma is espresso beans, earth, and tart citrus. Taste is very strong cold brewed coffee, chocolate covered espresso beans, herbs, soil, and tart citrus. The coffee is strong, almost over-bittering the hops. Very interesting beer.

Dogbrick (13010) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - APR 14, 2014
This brew is a clear dark golden color with a medium foamy off-white head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, coffee and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of citrusy hops, subtle roasted coffee and toasted malt. The finish is roasty with a coffee and hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
