One of the last beers of the night. One out of about 25 that I sampled at the 2017 KLCC Brewfest! (No memory).

Hazy blond color, creamy head. Mild coffee smell, but its like the coffee left on the counter the day after, a bit fruity maybe. The coffee plays better in the flavor, delicate, adding a dimension to the good IPA. Crackery malts, not too dry, fruity hops, a bit juicy.
Very good; Fort George know their IPAs.

On Tap slightly hazy dull yellow/orange. Fine thin and lasting head and lacing. Nice coffee aroma from such a light looking beer. Strange flavor. Coffee yes...but that combination with nice fresh hop favors is bizarre. Not sure if I get it. The combination is there though.

Draft at SB. Oh, this is a bit of a weird one, as you might have guessed. Pours a slightly hazy burnished medium amber with a dense and creamy off-white head. Nose comes on clearly focused on coffee, got that earthy nutty roastiness of a good mug. Theres some dry hop bitterness in counterpoint, but its really coffee. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Lightly toasted caramel base on the mid palate, under plenty of nutty earthy coffee roast and some dry piney hop counterpoint. Some people love it, but one was enough for me.

On tap at Fort George, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out mostly coffee and gentle piney hops. Flavour brings out a great mix of coffee and piney hops. For a style that is a bit hard to pull off due to the clashing flavours, this works really well.

Draft - Really nice coffee notes and fruity citrus hops. Clearish gold with a white head. Nice coffee roast and some nice grapefruit. Disjointed but the best of both worlds.

A new tulip in my beer glass collection signifies a need to pour a new beer! Why the heck not?! A crack of the top allows a strong coffee aroma to burst forward and as much as I would like to think that the hops in this IPA are going to be coming soon, they were really overpowered by the java. The dark-honey colored beer is crowned with a fat, pillowy head that stayed on for a bit before finally relinquishing the surface of the beer to the outside air. The lacing is consistent on the glass and a fine sediment is suspended above the bottom. The first sip is coffee, laced with coffee, a bitter back but not uncomfortably so, however, each swallow drys my tongue making the bitterness more pronounced with each draw. This is really just very ordinary a taste, and the sharpness of the brew at the back of my tongue and some grassiness in the flavor is the only real indication of the hops. The underlying earthiness is a nice foundation, but when it comes right down to it, its not enough for me. I feel as though I should take a long break before my next brew because the coffee is so very big here and I dont know that Ill be able to find my way through it to the next set of flavors. Fort George has always won my rave reviews, but in this case, Im not buying it. I may try it again, if I can guarantee the #freshness, but I have no indication here of a good enjoy by date. On a side note AND a flipside, if this was coffee, I would be drinking the hell out of it!

Can from 5000. Yellow pour with a white head. The aroma has some coffee notes with some orange citrus and pine notes thrown in. The flavor is more of the same. I get some bitter coffee notes as well as some chocolate, orange and pine. The hops really dominate but you can definitely get some coffee in the flavor. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Nice beer.

Picked up tonight at the COOP for $3ish per pounder can... At the other bottle shops for a little bigger price. Poured into my FunkFest goblet... short-lived 1 finger white head leaves only spotty lacing... The brew is orange with a weird yeasty colloidal suspension that isnt really off-putting, just odd.... Guess I should pour more carefully and leave a little brew in the can. Nose is all about the coffee... mildly sweet and not burnt. Flavor is again a coffee bean bomb that blows out most hop aspects and leaves behind a stripped down pithy citrus bitterness... light pale maltiness helps bind everything together... Lingering hop bitterness appears on the finish and is accentuated by a mildly astringent coffee bitterness. Light/medium body with okay carbonation... very drinkable... I really enjoyed this one.

Keg at Fat Heads, PDX, 09/11/14. Lightly hazed golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is big coffee grinds, citric peel, bitter orange, light smoke, melon, hops. Taste comprises coffee beans, coffee cake, hop presence, light citric notes, orange pith, backdoor grapefruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid stuff, top draw coffee IPA, this works for me!
