Dark pour plenty of tan head. Aroma of citrus pine hops dark malt. Tastes acidic, hoppy, fresh vegetables. Overcarb & watery. BK7 (805) - Turner, Oregon, USA - OCT 20, 2013
Pounder can. Big roasted malt flavor with pine, coffee and something sweet added in. Smooth finish. A pretty good India Dark Ale. pdx77 (1717) - Oregon, USA - OCT 17, 2013
From can. Deep dark brown color with an inch thick tan head that lasts. Aroma is pine, citrus, and roasting. Taste is resinous pine and citrus hops with a smooth roasted malt and coffee presence, and a tiny hint of dark chocolate. Retains a good balance between the hoppiness and the roasted maltiness. pdx76 (651) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 17, 2013
Can- pours out black with thick tan head. Nose is dominated by hop. Taste is mostly hop but not overly hoppy, somewhat boozy. Has a bitter coffee like finish.

16oz can bought from "lifesource" in Salem.
Pours a pretty black black! body with a small yet persistent frothy tan head.
Dank piney, resiny hop aromas..this one smells way more on the hoppy side of the CDA universe!
Paradoxically the flavour is way more balanced with the roasted malt aspect very much to the fore..balances the hops perfectly.
Perfect mouth feel on this one even with all the clashing of flavours it becomes balanced and smooth yet always something to intrigue the taste buds.
A nice CDA..love the palate. douglas88 (9632) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 5, 2013
On tap at Bailey’s Taproom. Astoria..bonus Goonies points. Hell, Kindergarten cop wasn’t terrible. Not Goonies good, but not terrible. Arnold was pretty likeable in that movie. Pours a nearly black color with a medium off-white head. A big sweet roasted coffee and pine hop nose. The flavor is more coffee, with big bitterness, some light fruit, but more solid bitter hops balanced by sweet malt and coffee. Toasty. Good. crackedmachine (536) - Seattle, Washington, USA - OCT 3, 2013
Pours black with a thick, foamy tan head. Fruity hop aroma - peach, mango, grapefruit, some pine too, and just a bit of mellow malt sweetness underneath. Flavor is surprisingly multifaceted - peach and mango upfront, then a bit more bitterness comes in, and finishing with moderate roasted malt, pine, and more bitterness. Finishes crisp and dry. Excellent. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - SEP 29, 2013
12-oz can. Thanks m! Pours black with a dense and creamy tan head. Lots of lace. Big sweet grapefruit nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Roasty dark ashy mid palate with a bright grapefruity overtone. Great combination. Long crisp finish.
