3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
16 oz. can. Pours a hazy light amber with solid frothy white head. Nose and flavor really bring a pleasant lemon citrus character along with really pleasant dry spruce, hay, and lovely oat bitterness. While the oats may lend a touch of astringency, I think it works with this beer, and the palate really is nice and silky for a sub 5% session pale ale. An intriguing and unique beer, and I think it’s underrated so far.

Can (16oz). Light golden with white head. Big citrus aroma.taste was mostly citrus. Quite bitter, perhaps too much to make this respecting. I will not make this a regular purchase, but ok.

Draft pour pint at the Wilde Rover. Listed at 5.2% Pours a clear amber gold with a thin foam head and lacing. Low hop aroma with a sweetness to both that and the flavor. Juicy hop, sweet fruit flavor. Cool finish. Thick body with a lighter flavor. Solid OPA, though I can’t think of too many more than this one. I’ve enjoyed this every time I’ve had it. jkwood04 (5463) - Connecticut, USA - JUN 22, 2015
Sampled at the Pike brewpub in Seattle. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of floral and lightly citrusy hops, some pale malts, and some dough. Flavor the same. Average texture. Not a bad pale ale at all. fonefan (50500) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JUN 13, 2015

[ As Fort George Sunrise Oatmeal Pale Ale (OPA) ].
Clear light to medium yellow color with a virtually none appearance, fizzy, virtually none lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sharp, moderate to heavy hoppy, perfume, citrus, pineapple, tropical fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, tropical fruit, pineapple, citrus. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.
Interesting concept, and good. Solid APA. Not sure if I’m getting any oatmeal notes, but no matter -- good. beechner224 (1024) - Melbourne, Florida, USA - MAY 24, 2015
