COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A smooth and creamy session-style american pale ale. With a straw-colored hue this beers dry nature with affable bitterness and lovely hop aroma makes it an easy choice for drinking anytime of the day, even when the sun is rising. This beer is based on the first beer ever produced at the Fort George Brewery (Beer#1). We decided to add 50lbs. of oatmeal to make it even better.

Bottle. The pour was a cloudy medium orange with an average sized (1-2 finger) white fluffy head that had great retention, eventually reducing to a thick film with a medium collar which created some excellent sheets of lacing. The aroma was of a cereal malt, citrus and floral hops and a sweet earthy yeast with notes of citrus (grapefruit peel), caramel, oats and a mild fruity ester (peaches). The taste was mildly sweet and a tad bitter with a mild fruity sweetness and a hint of caramel early on, becoming a bit hoppy and rather creamy (due to the oats, Im sure) with a bitter citrus peel presence towards the end. The flavor stuck around for an extremely long time with a strong bitter citrus taste that laid on the taste buds for what seemed like forever. Mouthfeel was just beyond light in body and had a nice creamy dry texture with a medium carbonation. Overall a very tasty, quite drinkable creamy brew with a mild ABV. This is a great session brew with a nice bold bitterness...

Can (16oz). Light golden with white head. Big citrus aroma.taste was mostly citrus. Quite bitter, perhaps too much to make this respecting. I will not make this a regular purchase, but ok.

Draft pour pint at the Wilde Rover. Listed at 5.2% Pours a clear amber gold with a thin foam head and lacing. Low hop aroma with a sweetness to both that and the flavor. Juicy hop, sweet fruit flavor. Cool finish. Thick body with a lighter flavor. Solid OPA, though I cant think of too many more than this one. Ive enjoyed this every time Ive had it.

Sampled at the Pike brewpub in Seattle. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of floral and lightly citrusy hops, some pale malts, and some dough. Flavor the same. Average texture. Not a bad pale ale at all.

Tall boy can: Pours a light golden/dark straw color, topped with a finger of fluffy sand colored head. A light haze to it. Decent bits of sheet lacing throughout the glass. Light citrus in the nose, florals, malts, and dry. Oats are evident in the flavor, goes nicely with the citrus and floral bite. A little grass and the finish is slightly soapy, but there is enough of a floral finish I can get past it.

16oz. can. Smooth citrusy aroma, sweet fruit, and some grass. Light gold straw, small head. Bitter initial, grapefruit, lotta zest, and some bready stuff. Light body and a bit arid-feeling. Nice, somewhat dank. Oatmeal doesnt seem to add much. Hops and citrus from top to bottom.

Draught. Pours a mostly clear golden color with a moderate off-white head on there. Nose is light and grassy, and has some floral hoppiness to it. Taste is slightly bitter, but ends up drinking extremely smooth and creamy, and is really quite tasty. Me gusta.
