Tap: dark brown with somewhat transparent edges, minimal head. Aroma and flavor pretty well balanced. Tons of chocolate, faint smoke and burnt grain/roast near the finish. Like Pailhead stated, not overpowering at all, which tends to happen with most smoked beers. Another solid brew. Pailhead (6543) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - JUN 29, 2007
On tap: Nice smokey chocolate aroma with a hint of fruit. It’s dark brown with some faint orange hilights and a small beige head. The flavor starts with moderate chocolate with lots of smoke to follow that really blends well and is not overpowering. There is a hint of fruitiness. The finish has a light roastiness to it with a slight woody bitterness. A very well done smoked porter.
