rauchbier (3908) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - APR 11, 2012
UPDATED: APR 30, 2012 Bottle, from an ethnic food shop in Scunthorpe. Gold, thin but sustained white head and good condition. Soft sweet gentle grainy malt in the nose with some background peppery spiciness and a muted earthy woody fungal note that reminded me of Greifenklau in Bamberg. Full sweet graininess in the mouth with a gentle background hop bitterness and a building spiciness that has suggestions of herbs and marzipan, almost like a watered down Drambuie, a warming alcohol lurks in the background before rushing back retronasaly in the finish which is tinged with more honeyed floral sweetness and a peppery bitterness. Very enjoyable and dangerously drinkable, it reminded me of many lost evenings drinking bocks in Bamberg. Kristall-König (2820) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - NOV 10, 2011
Sehr süßer, malzig-rosiniger Geruch. Startet süß. Mitte süß, zuckrig und rosinig. Abgang malzsüß, alkoholisch, Marzipan. Nicht gerade überragend, aber trinkbar. FatPhil (16689) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUN 19, 2010
6 sweet caramelly aroma, some smoky bacontomer (3655) - Rishon Le Zion, ISRAEL - MAY 29, 2010
3 Very bold orange, brief head
6 sweet, plenty of apple and fleshy fruit retronasals. Caramel high, but not sickly. Tiny hint of plasticky malts, but not enough to call it a bock, still a good ESL though.
3 Smooth from the sugars, but some carbonation bite. Finish has a touch of grassy hops.
12 absolutely no hint of alcohol, amazing for 9.5%
0.5L bottle, thanks Zvikar, small stable head, clear golden colour, aroma of honey cake and dried fruits, strong candy honey sweetness holding bitterness and alcohol in check, making the beer fill balanced inspite of its sweetness, pleasant sweet and sour aftertaste, medium bodied, quite good. zvikar (6264) - Ramat Gan, ISRAEL - JAN 30, 2010

Bottled. Golden in colour with a rather large off-white head. Grainy with notes of metal, grass, malt, fruit and alcohol. A weak hint of caramel. Ungstrup (38152) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - MAR 30, 2007
Bottled. A golden beer with a huge light orange head. The aroma is sweet and very fruity combined with light notes of straw and minerals. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and alcohol, which makes the mouthfeel a bit sticky. The body is quite powerful. Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 27, 2006
Dark yellow colored, little white head. Lively carbonation. Bockish aroma: sweet, fruity, honeyish, lemony, fusely and medium alcohol. Medium bodied. Flavor is surprisingly strong with sweetness and fusel, aftertaste has
medium alcohol with sweetness and fruits. Fin (10743) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 1, 2006
Bottled picked up in Vilnius. Very strong Bock, and better than I was anticipating. Despite it’s strength it was actually quite smooth both myself and friend trevor quite enjoyed this, we actually drank an awful lot of beer last night so I am afraid a detailed description is hard to recall, I seem to recollect it being darker than I anticipated maybe amber, not a great deal of aroma, but as mentioned not bad at all.
