KOMES PORTER reflects the history of brewing, referring to the 18th century tradition of brewing porters in the Baltic states. At their prime, Baltic porters represented one third of the market, which is the best evidence of their popularity. We offer you a well-balanced, dark, strong beer with a distinct flavour. Slow fermentation at low temperatures in open vats, coupled with long (at least 3 months) maturation have resulted in the beer’s character and complete, complex nature. The Porter’s bouquet matures further in the bottle. Time is on its side.

Dobry przykład Bałtyckiego portera. Piana średnia, bukiet typowy dla portera, w smaku czekolada, trochę kawy, owoce. Ciut gorszy od portera Warminskiego z Kormorana

50 cl. bottle. High creamy llasting light brown head. Pitch black body. Sweet and mild roasted coffee liquorice aroma and flavor with a fair amount of hops bitterness. Low catbonation, long finish.

UPDATED: SEP 8, 2017 Barwa czarna. Piana brązowa, drobnopęcherzykowa, opada dość szybko. Aromat głównie kawy zbożowej. Trochę czekolady i coś w rodzaju orzechów. W smaku paloność, kawa zbożowa. Czuć też alkohol (piwo nieleżakowane). Przyjmie oblepiające. Dobry wybór za tą cenę.

Deep brown pour with minimal beige head. Nose is dark chocolate, roasted malts and some vanilla. Taste follows the nose. Well rounded baltic porter with the alcohol very nicely hidden. Silky mouthfeel, low carbonation. Great.
