COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
KOMES PORTER reflects the history of brewing, referring to the 18th century tradition of brewing porters in the Baltic states. At their prime, Baltic porters represented one third of the market, which is the best evidence of their popularity. We offer you a well-balanced, dark, strong beer with a distinct flavour. Slow fermentation at low temperatures in open vats, coupled with long (at least 3 months) maturation have resulted in the beer’s character and complete, complex nature. The Porter’s bouquet matures further in the bottle. Time is on its side.

Goryczka niska. 0 alkoholu w smaku i aromacie.

Delicious. A dancing porter that looks beautiful from the moment its poured from its 500ml bottle. Hiding amid the smoky chocolate aroma is cherries and licorice. So light on its toes that it clings ever so slightly to the sides of the glass. The taste is lightly sweet leading to a sweet, mildly bitter finish. A great drinking beer with a welcome ABV punch. UPDATED: FEB 4, 2018 Barwa taka mocno karmelowa, aromat karmelowy i tanie kakao. W smaku mocna palonosc ale nie kawowa, czekoladowa tylko takie wyraznie palone słody. Przyzwoity porter jak na koncerniaka to na prawde niezłe.

Piwo klarowne, hebanowe. Piana karmelowa o wszelakiej frakcji bąbelków, średniotrwała. Aromat słodowy palony, subtelne nuty kawowe. W smaku rześkawe, wyczuwalna paloność i wyraźne nuty kawowe. Piwo średniowysycone. Uczciwy porter bałtycki.

[warka do 04.02.2019] Mętne, ciemnobrązowe, piana opada szybciej niż na coli. Aromat- klasa światowa: czekolada, kawa, suszona śliwka, praliny, w tle czekoladki w alkoholem i wanilią. W smaku gorzej, pustawy, paradoksalnie zbyt wysokie wysycenie (pomimo braku piany), dominuje kawa i gorzka czekolada. Goryczka średnio intensywna, palono-ziołowa. Lekko wyczuwalny alkohol.

Cena, a jakość? Miazga.

500 ml bottle into snifter, best before 12/25/2018. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky light khaki head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, nuttiness, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of smoke, leather, tobacco, molasses, licorice, toffee, vanilla, raisin, plum, cherry, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malts and light earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, nuttiness, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of smoke, leather, tobacco, molasses, licorice, toffee, vanilla, raisin, plum, cherry, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Mild herbal hop and roast bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, nuttiness, toasted dark/brown bread, light smoke/dark fruit, herbal, leather, tobacco, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts and light earthy hop flavors; with an awesome roast/hop bitter/sweet balance; and zero acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Perfectly clean lager finish, never yeasty. Slightly increasing dryness from hop/roast bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and slightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 9%. Overall this is a fantastic Baltic porter! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth, clean, and dangerously easy to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Very rich, clean, and complex Baltic Porter malt profile; with mild earthy hop balance. Never overly roasty, minimal fruitiness. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example. One of the best I have ever had.
