COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Filtered and pasteurised. Available with added carbon dioxide in keg, can and bottled formats. First brewed in 1887.
Available in Britain as Export.
"A light-coloured lager style, it presents full malt character with a balanced clean hop bitterness. Combined with a slightly hoppy, but yeasty/malty nose, Foster's lager is a full bodied beer with excellent drinkability."

I was on a cruise on my honeymoon, and a can of this stuff was as cheap as a bottle of Bud, which was pretty much the only other beer served outside of the main bar. Pours a light straw color with an overly-fizzy, force-carbonated head. Smell is yeasty and corn. Taste is actually not bad considering the price, but still watered down metallic corn with some noticeable yeast. I was drinking mostly for effect, and I could barely feel it 24 ounces in. This is not bad for the price (1.99 in most places for a 24oz can) but if you can get a better beer... get a better beer.

Frequently called "Australian piss" in Scottish pubs. Easy drink watery lager with minimal taste. Hints of bread and metallic tones. Pours medium yellow with heavy carbonation. Widely available on tap for cheap. It's most positive aspect is the price and availability.

On tap at shit pub. Medium gold with residing bubbles and foam. Scent is scentless. Taste is nice, lightly fruity Pilsen. Finish a little harsh, a little cereal malt. Good.

25-oz can pour into shaker pint glass from Signal Variety for Australian tick. Appearance is clear pale golden yellow with fair sparkle, finger-width fizzy white head with fair retention and no lacing. Aroma is pilsner malt with light floral yeast. Taste is thin cracker malt with mild white-wine-like yeastiness; slightly metallic. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thick texture, soft-to-average carbonation with crisp, dry finish as taste. Overall, not much to it but very drinkable and thirst-quenching. Less harsh than American domestic macros.

UPDATED: AUG 11, 2017 Weak thin head on top of a clear yellow body. There's a slight nutty aroma, more aromatic than most pale lagers. There's virtually no flavor, but it's kind of harsh on the palette. probably tasted better when it was made in Australia. Definitely better when it was made in Canada.

Biggie can pours a pale golden with a large white head. Musky saw dust aroma, malt, grassy hops, and lager yeast. Lightly sweet malt, lager yeast, and light hop. Inoffensive and drinkable.
