Nice. Pine forward. Lively hop flavor. Very much recommended!!! Wouldn’t mind the ABV being a bit lower for a session, but I shall not complain. Chalumeaux (1555) - Middleton, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 6, 2016
Poured from can nice fresh hop aroma juicy citrus golden color with nice white head. Taste is dry and refreshing well balanced can drink all day. ngeunit1 (1555) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - JUN 14, 2011
A - The beer is a golden-orange/yellow color with a finger of white head. The head fades fairly quickly leaving behind some light lacing.
S - The aroma is a mix of some sweet malt and some piney hops. There is also some grapefruit aromas mixed in as well.
T - Starts off with a mix of piney hops and some bitterness with a bit of sweet malt in the background. Through the middle, some stronger grapefruit hops and some more bitterness come through. The finish is a mix of hops and bitterness with a touch of sweet malt that lingers.
M - Medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels very smooth and crisp. The beer also feels fairly dry, especially with the bitterness as the finish.
D - Extremely drinkable. Very interesting IPA with as much flavor as it has with the rather low abv level. It is very flavorful and does not sacrifice flavor. Stoned99 (1553) - St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 11, 2015
Flight on tap at The Royal Pig Fort Lauderdale. Rating is for a session IPA, not an IPA. Aroma: pines, grapefruits. App: clear pale with small white head and some lacing. Taste and palate: light body, clean, light bitter finish. Soft carbonation. Overall: Founders really nailed the session IPA here, clean, light and easy to drink harrymel (1551) - Spokane, Washington, USA - NOV 17, 2013

It’s a lightly toasted golden raisin with a solid sheet of fine whipped toasted cream foam atop. Smells of resin, pine, some grain and a little metal. Nice and assertively hoppy on the nose, has what I consider a classic PNW smell. Flavor follows suit with resin, pine and some body oder...Maybe a bit of grapefruit pith and a solid amber like malt character with a bit of biscuit. Medium bodied with slightly soft carb and an off dry finish. The beer reminds me of Bitter American from 21st Amendment, and since it’s on the shelves around me, and canned, it would be my go to over this one. Good though.

Dark gold pour with big white head out of the can. Nice grassy nose with orange. Flavor is big up front of the same that mellows out to a nice clean finish. Good river beer. PabloZab (1545) - Wroclaw, POLAND - SEP 27, 2016
Bottle 355ml (06.02.2017). Hazy dark-golden colour with big, frothy head and good lacing. There are notes of hops, citrus, resin, candies in aroma with small accent of spicy note. Aroma is quite fresh and medium intensive. Medium bitterness with resin character, short in time, light body. Beer is refreshing, drinkable with good power of hops, very useful in case of thirst during hot day. JBPortland (1543) - Hampton Roads, Virginia, USA - JUN 13, 2014
