10-24-10 (7-3-6-3-13)On tap at Founders brewpub. Clear amber with a thin tan head. Aroma is lightly hopped with mild pine and some grassy hops. Some sweeter malt balances it out, a lighter offering hence the name. Taste is fairly mild with light grassy hops, very mild citrus, a bit of sweet malt and a dry finish with slight bitterness.
On draft at the brewpub. Clear and coppery with no head but a small ring. A soft pine nose. The flavor is very subtle and cascades over the tongue but with gentle waves. Light floral hops with rye, citrus and caramel. This is nice and sessionable. Bitterness is the biggest thing here. I like it. tomthompson89 (1982) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 31, 2011

Maybe a bad idea to try this after a 9%alcohol IPA. Can’t give it a fair rating and intend to redo this with a higher one. For a session IPA (which isnt easy to pull off) it seems to be decent. My initial reaction to the taste was sweat. Wow. But I can tell it is probably pretty good normally. New rating to come soon MrBunn (2807) - The Wet Side of a Dry Town, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 17, 2012
Bottle. Pours a nice gold with a thin head and yummy aromas of citrus and tropical fruit. Flavor is a let down... aromas got me really excited, but flavor is a bit meh. Kind of washed out with some nice hops bitterness, but little balance.

12 ounce bottle, bottled on 12/26/2011. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a mostly clear golden/orange color with a half inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both decent. Aroma is mostly hoppy, the brew smells like citrusy (tropical fruit, orange peel, mango) and pine hops, along with a little bit of bready malt. The taste is similar to the aroma, but for whatever reason it just doesn’t taste quite as good as the aroma would lead me to believe. The flavors seem a bit watered down. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it’s a bit slick, is well carbonated and goes down easy enough. However, at $10.99 a 6-pack I wouldn’t buy it again since I can get better IPA’s at that same price or cheaper (for example, Columbus IPA or Brew Kettle White Rajah). With that being said, I do think it’s worth trying. polomagnifico (1202) - Saginaw, Michigan, USA - FEB 18, 2012
Bottle. Aroma has notes of pine, citrus and floral hops and a slight caramel maltiness. Light amber hue with a small white head that mostly diminished and left little lace. Flavor is medium sweet and bitter. Palate is medium/light bodied with watery average carbonation. Overall a very easy drinking IPA but nothing to rave about. A session beer I guess but why bother then? tmoreau (4297) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - FEB 19, 2012
12 oz. bottle poured to a shaker at Lunar Brewing Co.. Displayed a clear, golden hue, with a modest amount of off white head foam that reduced fairly rapidly to a ring & film, and left some dots & dashes on the glass. The aroma was expressive, non-catty pine, with a pleasant citrus backup. The flavor also presented a medium hop bitterness that balanced well with the malt in a light to medium body. The carbonation was soft+ but didn’t promote any watery sensation, and the hop lingered mildly into the finish. A very nice brew for any IPA newb. Nicely sessionable for all! 12oz Belmont bottle. Thank you for making this Founders. This is to IPAs what Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is to pale ales: classic and dependable. As advertised, I could drink this "all day. " beernovice39 (3270) - Idaho, USA - FEB 23, 2012
Draft at Thirsty Monk. Pours a clear copper with a thin off white head. Scent is light roast and earthy. Sweet caramel and earthy bitter taste.
