Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of madsberg. Pours a hazy nutty brown with a small off-white head. Massive nutty aroma - Nutella character! Rich body, sticky heavy hazelnut character - a bit much, quite a bit much actually. Warming alcohol finish. A hard beer to drink. 250113 Leighton (22820) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 15, 2013
Bottle shared at CBC - Clerkenwell, London - many thanks to Seth for bringing this from the States. Pours clear amber with a creamy, tan foam head. Lots of milky hazelnut coffee on the nose. Big sweet flavor, lightly roasty, with rich hazelnut coffee creamer, dusty cocoa, vanilla. Medium to full bodied with average, creamy carbonation. Lightly warming finish with lots more sugary hazelnut creamer, vanilla, creamy coffee. The beer is probably a bit too sugary for most, and the hazelnut coffee character is strong. A decent sipper. 750mL bottle, pours a hazy dark amber with a medium beige head. Aroma is dominated by the hazelnut coffee, with some coconut, toasted nuts and more hazelnuts. Flavour is similarly dominated by the hazelnut coffee, with toasted nuts, coconut and some syrupy notes. Medium-bodied with a robust flavour profile and with a very, very dominant hazelnut coffee characteristic. Excellent stuff.
