Had at Glunz Global Beer Expo XIX. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a big, off white head. Had strong aromas of bourbon, molasses, brown sugar, and butterscotch. The hops are clearly diminished, but the malt and bourbon make this one of the more peculiar beers I have ever tried. The bourbon leaves a strong aftertaste, but the alcohol was undetected. This is a big, slow sipper that should be tried by any beer fan.

Bottle, gift from Helsinki. BB 24.04.2018. Dark misty amber with creamy white head. Sweet hops and malts, hops being fragrant spicy. Nice sweet woodiness of the bourbon. Dangerously easy-drinking. Gets pretty boozy as it warms, but in a good way, warming and soothing. A perfect sipper for an autumn evening.

Bottle from SB. Pours amber with a White head that leaves a fair bit of lacing. Floral, perfumy with some citrus, vanilla, pine needles and loads of bourbon. Loads going on. Boozy, but it works.

Aromat: rodzynki, migdały i wanilia; Wygląd: klarowne, piana redukująca się do obrączki, lacing ładny; Smak: rodzynki, orzech laskowy, marcepan, migdały, wanilia, przechodzące w wysoką przyjemną ziołową goryczkę; Podniebienie: gładkie, ciało nie za wysokie, bardzo pijalne;

Pours clear copper with a thin head. Aroma is a malty, whisky mix that begs you to drink it. The flavour is also a malty bourbon mix. It's brilliant.

alteregoo (1674) - Kalisz, POLAND - OCT 13, 2017
Piana obfita, kremowa, trwała. Kolor jasno bursztynowy, delikatnie opalizujący. W aromacie białe owoce, suszone morele, cytrusy, nafta, migdały, kokos, wanilia... Smak półsłodki, są kandyzowane owoce, skórka pomarańczy, nafta, kokos, wanilina, likier. Średnia, żywiczna goryczka, spore alkoholowe rozgrzewanie, niskie do średniego wysycenie. W odbiorze oleiste i alkoholowe, bourbonowe.
Bardzo ciekawy eksperyment, IIPA nieco przypominająca ABW plus wyraźny wpływ barrel agingu i whisky - piwo nieoczywiste i nie dla każdego.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Smell of bourbon, oak, vanilla, caramel and pine. The taste is dominated by bourbon, to the extent that it feels like there must have been bourbon left in the barrel. Malty backbone. The hops are playing for third place. Way too boozy for my taste, tastes more bourbon then beer.
