750 ml bottle. Strong bourbon notes with a pleasant amount of oak and hops present. Wish they would bottle Looking Glass. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the Crafty Fox, San Francisco. Pours cloudy dark orange with medium white head. Malty, dried fruit, bourbon, caramel, vanilla, quite sweet with some bitterness. Wood. Warming, some unpleasant alcohol. Full bodied. Reminds me of barley wine. Interesting, not sure it gained by barrel aging though.

tapefuzz (700) - Massachusetts, USA - SEP 16, 2017
12oz bottle. Pours clear golden amber with a moderate white head. Aroma is bourbon, vanilla, oak, and very light citrus. Taste is tons of bourbon, some barrel, caramel, light citrus (orange and grapefruit), alcohol, and some resin. Very boozy. Decently bitter; piney, slightly oaky finish. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Oily mouthfeel - not quite as heavy as I was expecting for the ABV. Slightly too much alcohol and the mouthfeel has a disappointing Sierra Nevada feel to it.

On tap at Beavertown Extravaganza. Aroma has butterscotch, oranges and resiny hops. Taste starts with sweet bourbon but the hops kick in with a good amount of bitterness. Really nice combination of flavors.

oberschlesier (98) - Kattowitz, UPPER SILESIA, - SEP 14, 2017
Aroma: low to mid intensive vanilla (bourbon barrels) and a bit of american hops. Taste: sweetness of bourbon barrel, and rather long bitterness in aftertaste. Alc. is not very rough, but clearly detectable in taste. I can say, that alc. is component of this aftertaste bitterness. Beer is transparent, head is not very impressive.

An imperial IPA barrel aged to near perfection. Not to much bite, enough to remind you it's an IPA but the bourbon aging mellows that and adds the extra ommph to push this to a 12.4 abv. Damn good beer and an ass kicker.

KoNrRiI (1577) - Århus, DENMARK - SEP 12, 2017
UPDATED: SEP 12, 2017 0.33 bottle @ Józefitów Clear, amber color and a small, white head. Aroma of barrelwood, bourbon, and a bit of malts. Taste is alcoholic to begin and end with; malts abd bourbon are present, so is leather and wood but they are definitely underrepresented. Almost full body, creamy texture, and an almost flat carbonation. Finish is long and alcoholic. Overall yet another beer which starts off nicely only to end up short. Lacks anything apart from the cask flavors.

Aroma of cookies, sweet malts and alcohol. Taste has cookies and caramel ending with warmth of alcohol and nice lingering bitterness of the hops. Very smooth and well balanced.

obguthr (6530) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - SEP 10, 2017
Oak, cedar, caraway nose. Cloudy copper, medium sticky yellow head. Oak, triple sec, caramel, grapefruit. Medium body, moderate carbonation, boozy. Tons of barrel character, huge, a bit too much.
