Some citric, pine, vanilla, and bourbon on the nose, but not enough of anything to make it very appealing. It pours well into a Greenbush snifter, but flattens quickly as it warms. Taste is mild sweetness followed by medium bitterness, but the mouth feel is too light. I was underwhelmed overall.

LCI. Uit de fles geschonken. Best of both worlds, heerlijke IIPA met een heerlijke Bourbon BA smaak, een frisse take op het barrel agen. Prachtig!

Tap at Slow Beer, Fitzroy, Melbourne. Poured a hazy medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light fruit, boozy alcohol. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a big smooth dry woody resin hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

UPDATED: JAN 15, 2018 Great combination of imperial IPA with barrel notes. Well balanced and nicely hidden alcohol. Really great stuff!

Bottle at the We Brought Beer CBS Tasting. Good start to the night. Toasty looking amber with a decent sized head. Nose is like a hoppy barley wine or an old school Imperial IPA. Marmalade, toffee, pine, barley sugar, barley grain chaff, hints of bourbon sweetness, barrel wood, candy sugar, grapefruit and orange bitter citrus. Taste is toffee, barley sugar, marmalade, orange and grapefruit peel citrus, wood tannins, bitter citruses. Mouthfeel is sticky, hop dry and sweet. Good balance.

Bottle 355ml. Pours light amber with a small white head. Aroma is bourbon, vanilla and malt. Full body, soft carbonation, bitter and sticky. Strong one. Taste is bourbon, malt, licorice ending with bitter nuts.

Bootle. Pours gold. I don't feel the IPA. More like an Old Ale or Barleywine. Pine and herbal aroma. Strong alcohol/scotch aroma. Dry, mid bitterness. Really loving it

Clear, amber, big white head. Rich aroma of candied oranges, pale malt, brandy, toffee. Sweet and bitter. Flavour: sweet plum wine, sweet citrusy hops. Warming finish. Very good.

2017/12/30 - Pours a hazy orange amber colour with a thick, foamy, off white head that slowly reduces and leaves moderate lacing. Aroma is sweet caramel, citrus notes, pine, wood, bourbon, vanilla and lightly floral notes. Taste is a caramel backbone with, citrus, pine, wood, vanilla and hot bourbon. Mouthfeel is medium and oily with soft carbonation and a sweet, dry, warming finish. A nice IPA with lots of warming boozy notes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
