Sweet repute pours a half cloudy light orange with an ivory head that lasts a good while and leaves nice lacing. The aroma is vanilla, maple and oak. The flavor is vanilla, maple, oak and a light citrus and floral. The high abv is hidden rather well. Overall this is an amazing beer!

Pours golden orange with a small beige ring. Smells vinous and sweet, and bourbon. Taste is sweet, bourbon, vanilla, and alcohol. Full-bodied with a smooth texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Founders Sweet Repute finishes with a lingering sweetness. beerbaaron (1998) - Arizona, USA - DEC 4, 2013
UPDATED: MAR 6, 2014 Bottle poured into snifter, warmed close to room temp. Pours a radiant light rosey orange. Medium to small, white head, almost fully lasting. Aroma is rather complex; sweet, some alcohol, bourbon, sugar, maple, caramel, bread, butterscotch, bread, some spice, vanilla, some wood back there somewhere - really interesting. Flavor is much the same but with a little more clean spicy bourbon, little less sweetness. Sweetness is just right. Medium to full body. Luscious, creamy, little syrupy. It just sort of melts over your tongue. Some gentle alcohol warmth and a touch of spiciness. No alcohol burn at all. Great finish, like just a clean thumbprint of the whole beer. Super smooth and wonderfully balanced. Masterfully put-together. A supremely enjoyable sipper. Excellent. ebone1988 (1932) - Dearborn, Michigan, USA - DEC 19, 2013
Aroma is bourbon barrel, maple, sweet hops and malt. Appearance is orange, rust, not much head. Taste is great, sweet malt, bourbon heavy, maple, finishes hoppy. Mouthfeel is perfect, soft carbonation, wonderful. Overall, this is a lovely wheat wine! Braudog (6719) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - MAY 11, 2014
Bottle. An attractive pour from teh bomber ... golden orange, with a solid 1/2 inch thick pile of firm foam firmly encasing what’s beneath. But a sturdy aroma still breaks free ... like the pleasant warming aroma of a Kentucky distillery. This drinks with a creamy, warming body, then pile drives the palate with a full-on whiskey burn. I almost want to cut this with some coke or something. Definitely a sipper, or one to put you to sleep. Very much enjoyed the whiskey woven into an otherwise light-charactered beer. Well done. Bottle. Golden/amber with very nice bubbly white head. Aroma of pineapple, alcohol, honey, vanilla... the aroma itself is very complex... bodes well. Filling mouthfeel, quite sweet, with a distinctive pineapple like flavor. Big time warming sensation in the finish... like sipping on a nice bourbon. Ok, wow, this is really good. This is a sipper, but given it’s lighter body I’m actually looking forward to taking down the whole bottle. Well done! alliance100 (1152) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - DEC 3, 2013
750ml bottle - pours a rich copper with a slight orange hue. Little to no head. Big maple , toffee and bourbon aromas. Tons of vanilla bourbon sweetness and some warming alcohol. Finishes smooth with lingering sweetness and some caramel. The 12.6% abv is very well hidden . Not disappointed. Well done.

Bottle. Aroma has notes of sweet caramel, vanilla, maple syrup, bourbon, wood, almonds and dough. Wonderful. Medium copper/amber hue with a small white head that mostly diminished and left no lace. Lots of large particulate as well. Flavor is very sweet and very bitter. Palate is very full bodied and oily with soft carbonation. Overall I really liked this one. Very complex aroma that keeps getting better as it warms. Alcohol is very well hidden and mouth-feel is spot on. Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Hopswagger (199) - South Carolina, USA - DEC 26, 2013
P: Clear body with tiny specks floating around in a sea of pale copper amber. Off white cap of airy head that settles to a bubbly ring along the edge.
A: Stout sweet bourbon, inside of a wheat bread bag left out in the sun, fresh coconut, orchard fruit, macaroon cookies, semi sweet maple glaze.
T/M: Werther’s originals, pears, apples, coconut, pecans, maple glaze, earthy hops mellow out the sweet and compliment the bourbon profile. A touch of peppery spice and pears in the finish. A chewy mouthfeel with a delicate dose of carbonation and finishes smooth with a gently building dryness.
O: After much anticipation I can easily say this was an amazing brew. I had high hopes for this and it passed the grade in stellar fashion. Heavy hitting booze tamed by sweet glaze and earthy bitterness. What more could you ask for in a beer. The only downside is that this was my only bottle. 574deadzone (1419) - North Central, Indiana, USA - DEC 31, 2013
Pours a fairly clear flaming orange with plenty of floating sediment and a decent sized eggshell head that hangs out a while and leaves some soapy lace. Nose involves in no particular order: chocolate covered oranges, bourbon soaked pine needles, sweet maple sap, oaky vanilla, toasted malt, golden raisins, butter pecan ice cream. Intensely sweet flavor, but an impressive bitterness to attempt to balance. Full bodied, not excessively carbonated, quite oily and slick, heavy, with a warm and juicy bitter finish. Really nicely done, lots to love, drinkable at its size, plenty complex, and it goes great with a blue frost e-cigarette.
