12oz bottle picked up at Beers of the World in Rochester. Clear red-brown pour with a small head. Aroma is bourbon, wood, and caramel; taste is smooth and balanced dark fruit, wood, vanilla, maybe toffee, and some bourbon. Very sweet, good.

Growler from my parents. From Growlers. Clear brown pour with a small head. Aroma is bourbon, wood, and caramel. Taste is vanilla, boozy, dark fruit, a little chocolate, and a nice woody finish.

Picked up a 4 pack for $13 from the local Co-Op. 2012 vintage. Dark amber brown, 3 finger tan head that fades to 1 finger and sticks around. Nose is sweet apricots, plums and vanilla. Wow. Very sweet beer with tons of complexity. Lots of burnt and roasted tastes. Love the vanilla booziness this has but its a bit too sweet.

A nice brown pour with a small head. Minimal lacing on my class. Aroma of bourbon shines through, making me a bit nervous actually. Add a little vanilla to the smell and now Im ready to drink it. Not as much whiskey in the flavor, still very present, but not overpowering. Lots of flavors in this. The more I let it sit it started tasting like almond joy candy bars. Really nice brew.

12oz into pint glass. Dark brown, small tan head. Aroma is basically all bourbon, some malty sweetness but dominated by the bourbon. Taste is all bourbon too, fairly hot, fairly rough if Im being honest. Pretty hard to tell what the base beer is, the bourbon just dominates. Body is on the thin side, carb is just right.

12oz bottle----> tulip. Pours a dark brown with no head or lacing. Aroma is oaky bourbon and vanilla. Has tastes of sweet fig, oak, and a hint of smoke. Thick and smooth on the tongue. A decent enough beer, but a bit too sweet for my likings.

New Beer Distributors, NY 355ml ($4.25): Pours a brownish color with a very small head. Aroma is whiskey, vanilla, wood, and malts. Taste is less whiskey than the aroma, but still plenty whiskey. Huge amount of complexity. The beer is most beer oriented towards the front. The finish and the after taste are straight vanilla and wood. There is a bit of booze. There be some smoke. Some fruitiness. Quite good, but Im glad I just have one.

At the brewery, dark brown pour. Smoke and scotch nose, very tasty with caramel malts and overwhelmingly good.

12oz bottle - pours mahogany with thin khaki head and spotty lacing. Nose is woody, smoky, peat, and alcohol. Flavor adds chocolate. Very dry finish as in the liquid evaporated instantly and left a sticky film on the tongue. Sweet. Strong burning sensation. Fruity notes as it warms. Really takes me back to when I could afford scotch.

Mahogany color with medium sized creamy head. Strong aroma where the oak blends well with roasty notes and chocolate; a tobacco note adds a nice complexity. Rich dark chocolate flavor, roasted malts, correct bitterness, vanilla oak.
Very good.
