Excelente breja!

Wow! On tap at meridian pint in DC. Aroma is burbon, alchohol, sweet cheeries and hops. Pours a dark ruby red. Palate is a sweet hoppy delicous fruitcake of a beer! Scotch and oak come through on rhe lingering palate. Fantastic Brew!

350 ml bottle from czar, also shared with albatross. Pours a ruby reddish brown with a nice beige head. Aroma is wood, vanilla and brown sugar. Flavor is sweet, caramel-toffee, vanilla, wood, brown sugar, more caramel. Very flavorful. Finish is mostly fruity (red and darker berries), with a touch of vanilla. Strangely enough, it is quite soft and...accessible! Medium body, mellow mouthfeel, very good! wyseman3 (10) - Freeland, USA - APR 11, 2013
Very nice Barrel notes, vanilla and bourbon smooth out the base beer and almost give it a hint of creaminess. Maltiness is still present. One of my favorite BA beers.

Backlog rating 1-23-2008 (Bottle) This beer pours a small tan head with poor retention, no lacing and an orange-brown hue. The Aroma is malty, bourbon, brown sugar, wood, roasty, and vanilla. The Taste is caramel, bourbon, malty, and brown sugar. The Palate is tingly with a warming sensation and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, this is a very quaffable beer and a sipping beer at that. It is worth trying and a beer that I not only would drink again, but also highly recommend. charule (2268) - New York, New York, USA - APR 6, 2013

Mahogany, thin off-white head. Nose is bourbon barrel, cinnamon toast, more bourbon. Taste is bourbon barrel, cinnamon, chocolate syrup, wet wood. Finishes with light barrel and a slight hop bitterness. Velvety mouthfeel, finishes dry.
