Big and delicious for your perty mouth. Expect lovely, warm smells of single malt scotch, oaky bourbon barrels, smoke, sweet caramel and roasted malts. A bit of earthy spice and a scintilla of dark cherries. Its a kick-back sipper made to excite the palate.

Taste is very soft and creamy. This is a hell of beer which makes you very happy while drinking it. The alcohol is well hidden.

2011 vintage 12 oz. bottle fairly hard poured into a Founders Brewing Company snifter. Pours a dark amber with a two finger beige head. Good retention and noticeable lacing as the head recedes. A lot of bourbon on the nose with oak and toffee. Opens with a shot of bourbon, toffee, vanilla, and rich caramel maltiness. The mouthfeel is amazingly creamy, perfect carbonation, and frankly feels like velvet. A truly amazing brew that sets the standard for barrel-aged scotch ales.

2011 Vintage. Bottle at home courtesy of Armin, Thanks Man!! Poured a clear brown with a crimson tint and a small tan head that quickly dissipated. Coconut, bourbon, wood, light alcohol, and vanilla in the aroma. Taste is cocoa, dark fruits, licorice, dark chocolate, light espresso, and oak with a lingering coffee aftertaste. Mouthfeel is medium with soft carbonation. Very smooth, and well-balanced; really easy to drink.

Murky amber color with fleeting tan head. Big smooth whiskey, caramel aromas. Medium body with soft co2. Big boozy bourbon, wood char flavors with sharp caramel, pit fruits, boozy warming finish--boozy

Oh this is good. Pours dark tree branch brown. Very heavy malt, molasses, touches of bourbon. Rolls thickly in the mouth with an alcohol edge. Nice finish. Dirty Bastard++ ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours cola with no head. Smell strong bourbon vanilla and red fruit, bit of black licorice. Taste creamy woody flavors, malty scotch, dry finish. A bit of heat, but a lot of flavor, great beer.

Cloudy brown beer, very short lived tan head. Light effervescent palate, soft. Vanilla oak with a trace of butter cream. Perfect amount of bourbon, sweet cream and a little aniseed in the finish. Lovely.
