Copper with a ring of white foam. Cereal grain, oats, mild booze. A little warm on the back end. Alright. kambei70 (1037) - - JAN 13, 2013
Pours a mahogany brown and red with little to no head. Smell is oak, scotch and caramel. Taste is the same with some acerbic alcohol taste around the edges. Oily mouth feel and lacing. Definitely strong and needs to be sipped. Good.

Pours a brownish red color, with a small head. Nose is sweet and alcoholic with a definite oaky aroma. Taste is woody, with a vanilla oaky taste and a bit of cherries. No hiding the alcohol on this one, carbonation is soft, texture heavy. Finishes like a single malt scotch, a nice complex scotch ale. Pours a red brown with a thin tan head and sweet aroma of bourbon, malt, oak and vanilla. Taste is delicious and complex, sweet with bourbon notes, malt, oak, vanilla, and caramel with a long, oaky, burning finish. Very flavorful brew oyamac (30) - Michigan, USA - JAN 10, 2013
Aroma: Bourbon and raisins with light molasses and vanilla.
Appearance: Poured a rich dark brown with light head.
Taste: Very bourbon heavy with strong underlying vanilla tones. This is a very sweet beer.
Overall: Although this is a very good beer, it is just not quite my thing. It is almost too sweet. Still a really good beer but I wouldn't actively seek it out again.

12oz bottle. Very dark red color with almost no head. Aroma is pretty mild, sweet whiskey and smokey. Flavors are really well blended and smooth, but Iím not seeing what makes this a top 1% beer. I like the smokey character and rich body, but Iím not seeing world class. timberrr (43) - New Jersey, USA - JAN 8, 2013
12 oz. Bottle from 9/28/12 poured into snifter. Pours a deep amber brown almost completely opaque with a small, quickly dissipating light tan head. Aroma of oak, bourbon, vanilla, butterscotch and dark fruit. Flavor has a big hit of bourbon and smokey oak at the start followed up with vanilla, toffee and fig. Leaves a warming bourbon taste on the finish. The mouth feel on this beer is great, nice and smooth. Medium body with low to medium carbonation. Overall a fantastic beer, great balance of woody bourbon with the sweetness and very smooth. northropfrye (3515) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - JAN 7, 2013
Nice bourbony sweet flavour. Quite aromatic and flavourful. All around quality product. cards04 (2784) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - JAN 7, 2013
Pours a thick rich mahogony with creamy head. Big boozy aromas along with sweet caramel. Wamr and boozy flavours and more sweetness and peat. Very nice! Lubiere (13796) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 6, 2013
A lightly hazed reddish brown ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, wonderful mix of treacle, plums, white wine, vanilla and Brett notes, wow! In mouth, a sweet vinous malt with licorice, tobacco, treacle, complex, warming alcohol, beautiful winter warmer. On tap at J.Ryans, Nov. 29 2012.
