Rubyish brown, big beige frothy head, ok lacing. Great aroma, whisky on top, caramel, mocca. Really inviting. Full, rich and smooth, sweet, packed with flavor. I hvae trouble defining the nuances here but this tastes really good to me. Glad it has a long long finish. Port wine was noticed before so I add it here..makes lot of nice combos that one. Damn good stuff.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with red notes and with tan head. Aroma and taste have malts, licorice, dark fruits, raisins, caramel, bourbon and also some notes of oak and vanilla. Nicely sweet, bitter and also boozy, but definitely not too much. Incredible beer!

Tranquillity (2043) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 23, 2017
Bottled. Served in a red wine glass. Almost black body with slight red notes. Thick and even light brown head. The aroma is thick with melasses, alcohol, scotch, smoke and raisins. The taste is overwhelming with some initial sourness which dissolves into notes of port wine, whisky, oak and a lovely bitter finish. Thick body, no alcohol in the taste itself. Beautiful.

Bottle. Sensoric. Brown with moderate, semi-thick, dirty white head. Poor to moderate head retention and moderate lacing. Moderate malty aroma, caramel, milky, lightly smokey (wood). The barrel notes are quite noticeable, but bourbon is due to specific scotch ale malty profile is not really up front. Taste is moderately sweet and light to moderately bitter. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, finish is malty, light to moderate ABV. Lightly ABV warming. In summery good brew pretending to be very good, but IMO it should age for a little bit more to be very good. The ABV warming is above average here.
