On draft at Founders for the Cellar Raid. On nitro. The pour is a thin black with a light clarity shining through and a thick cap of darker tan nitro head that falls to a thicker ring with no lace. The aroma is heavy chocolate and roasted coffee. There is a hint of barrel and a light creaminess. It falls off very quick. The flavor is much of the same. The alcohol comes through a little more and the roast just falls off quickly. The coffee and chocolate really form a nice mocha as they finish strong. The mouth feel is painfully watery and light. Everything just leaves the tongue so fast. The aftertaste is somewhat like a light mocha as it stays, but it’s definitely not for long. Hophaze (192) - South Bend, Indiana, USA - JUN 18, 2013

Nitro pour consumed at the source... Pours a silky thorough homogenous midnight black consistency and topped with the creamiest light beige head imaginable. Appearance is quite a sight to behold... Assertive hazelnut aroma with milder vanilla aspects while the barrel presence is somewhat lost unfortunately. Semi-sweet and creamy feel to it... Hazelnuts and vanilla upfront with a creamy froth feel throughout. Lighter bodied and fluffy mouthfeel. Flavors lack follow through though and fall it tad bit short. mikem409 (2026) - bloomfield, Michigan, USA - JUN 4, 2013
