Growler shared by J12601. Pours a hazy almost murky pinkish violet red with a thin white head. Aroma is muddled fruits- raspberry, cherry and some other stone fruits- pear and peach with slight vegetable character. Flavor is mineral and chalk-like with more mixed fruits, raspberry and cherry dominate- more vegetable character, earth, and pitty tannins- slight slickness and a very light tartness. A bit too jumbled and unrefined. deyholla (11605) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 30, 2009
On tap at Founders. Poured a very murky pinkish orange with a touch of brown. There was minimal head. Flavor full of fruits, cherries, dried apricots, raspberry and a touch of sweet oranges. Flavor had a strong cherry flavor with undertones of apricot, tartness and raspberry. bp (922) - New York, New York, USA - DEC 29, 2009
draft at the brewpub: looks like a cloudy bloody mary, aroma of berries, taste of sour cherries, some citrus, a little bite from the mild carbonation, only mildly sour, a very interesting and tasty beer Bullit (4637) - Burgos, SPAIN - DEC 3, 2009
Draft at brewery. Murky pink-light red colour. Aroma of strawberry, vanilla, forest fruits, banana. Flavour is very fruity, strawberry, passion fruits, some malts. Thick brew, with a smooth mouthfeeling. Not overly sweet. Could have this for breakfast everyday! Silphium (3199) - Traverse City, Michigan, USA - NOV 29, 2009
On tap at Founders. Murky V8 juice body, also kin to a bloody mary, or a package of defrosted frozen strawberries in syrup. Wacky. Strong, sweet, dense nose of primarily strawberries. The body is tart and sweet, again primarily of strawberries, but with woody, almost bitter notes in the finish. A thick beer/fruit smoothie. This and the Newaygo County Cherry aim for the "extreme" fruit beer classification.
