Pailhead (6540) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - APR 15, 2006
UPDATED: MAR 15, 2008 On tap: Great fresh raspberry aroma. Cloudy pinkish-brown with a small pink head. Flavor is loaded with sweet and tart raspberries. There is a hint of alcohol in the finish, but would never guess this to be 10.3% (Site says 9.5, but Dave from Founders said 10.3). A well done fruit beer.

Bottle: The aroma is loaded with raspberry with a nice balance of sweet and tart raspberries and no alcohol in the nose. It pours a very cloudy dark brownish-red with a soapy purplish-pink head. Sporadic thin webbing for lacing is left behind. The flavor starts with lots of sweet raspberries, maybe even slightly cherry, but the sweetness quickly fades to a more tart raspberry finish with some light alcohol and light acidity. I still wouldn’t guess this to be 12.3% though. Medium body is slightly syrupy with moderate carbonation. Previous numerical rating seems on par.
On Tap at Richos: Dark Pink color with light head and strong aroma and taste of raspberries. No bitterness but had a definate tart after taste with hints of alchol in the initial taste wheninhell (488) - chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 20, 2006

Draft - Gravity Head 2006. Beautiful, deep purple body with a pinkish head. Huge raspberry nose - very tart! Delicious flavor - so tart that it is almost sour. I couldn’t drink much, but the half pint that I did have I really enjoyed! MrManning (2009) - Hamilton, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 27, 2006
MI brewer’s guild fest -06- Tap at the tent- Cloudy cherry red, ringed by a thin white hoop. Real ripe raspberry aroma, summer wild berries, sugary sweet and good! Alcohol is not detectable, super sweet raspberries dominate upfront, and turn tart and complex toward the finish. A solid fruit beer from another great brewery at the fest!

Draft at Founders. Aroma is of raspberries. Flavor is tart and a little sweet, almost like a cran-raspberry drink. Tastes little like beer. Bigassfish (140) - Naperville/Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 15, 2005
On tap at Founders. Red in apperance with no head. smell of fermented rasberries. very tart with some sweetness. can’t taste the alchol. If you like rasberries this is the beer for you. thedm (6184) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - NOV 14, 2005
This draft brew from the brewery poured a thin quickly diminishing head of finely sized bubbles that left behind a hazy reddish pink nbody with no visible carbonation. It had a strong raspberry aroma and a tingly palate with a strong raspberry flavor. The aroma was very nice to smell and the flavor was equally as profound. Very interesting brew. hotstuff (5158) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - OCT 16, 2005
Draft at FBC. Small tan head that mostly diminished, fine-small sized bubbles, sparse lacing, no visible carbonation, hazy, and a reddish pink hue. Nose was sweet, tart, and raspberry. Flavor was sweet, tart, sour and raspberry. Way, way too sweet for my taste. Sweet palate. Light body. badnewsbeers (2312) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - SEP 28, 2005
