Poured from a 120z. bottle into a stemmed glass. The color is a dark black with about three fingers of brownish foamy head with some really nice lacing. The smell is of oatmeal, some really dark chocalte presence and a bit of roasted coffee flavor that is real evident in the nose. The taste is inviting, it a reminiscent of a Starbucks coffee. Just the mixture of a bounty of fantastic flavors contributing to the taste bud overload. The creamy endings that are giving this beer legs is just there in the background hiding in this beers greatness. The feel is lighter than expected. There is no real punch but a warming embrace that takes as much as it gives. The coffee flavors will give you that early morning feel with the oatmeal just taking you in the same direction. There really isnt unpleasant in the aftertaste which is there but is enjoyable from the start.

Bottle. Dark brown pour with dark mocha head that disappears gently. Oat, chocolate, and dark coffee. Smooth and silky, and the bitterness makes this feel not too heavy or overpowering. Smooth and complex finish.

Thick, full body with a long dark chocolate-y finish, this beer bottled is inferior to the tap, but more than worth a try if you can get your hands on it. It has deep seated aroma that keep you sniffing at the glass all the way through ranging through the gamut of sweet stouts: dark chocolate, complex coffee overtone, caramel and nut aromas were all present. I could have dealt with a little more than the minimal tan head this beer poured.

From a bottle. This poured pitch black with a nice tan head that stayed with the beer the whole time. The aroma of chocolate, coffee, is very intense, It had a long finish with a coffee flavor that hung around in my mouth.
