The coffee lover’s consummate beer. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and imported chocolates and two types of coffee, this stout has an intense fresh-roasted java nose topped with a frothy, cinnamon-colored head that goes forever.

UPDATED: AUG 28, 2015 Bottled Oct/2012. Poured into a snifter. A: Looks pretty solid. Super dark brown. Little head... but I had a lousy pour and plus it’s a snifter so... S: This is what a coffee beer should smell like... and oddly enough it’s coffee. Like a french roast this one: little acidity, a hint of chocolate, roasty. Very smooth. Nice. T: Bit chocolate note. Bitter throughout which is great for an imperial stout which sometimes have a lot of acidiy. Good balance. Coffee notes. Goes down pretty smooth. Finish is a bit more unbalanced that the flavors. P: As mentioned above: no acidity which is what I’m looking for in an Imp. stout. Medium/full body. Overall a great beer. Drinks like a limited release, but is widely available for about half the year and I love that! Great balance, great flavors. Much better than the average imperial stout. 3 year vert Current smells more balanced. More chocolate. Coffee acidity becomes more apparent with age. 13 is softer and 12 is softer still. Vanilla notes. More in the 12. Boozier the older. Still smooth. Whiskey notes... Oak. 13 is maybe the most boring. Little chocolate. And more complex vanilla and oak flavors not as apparent. 14 is the most bitter. Bigger bolder flavors there. Well this was fun! Carmel notes in the 12. In all 12 was more whiskey like... Extremely complex and 14 was more beer like. 13 was not working well... Too much acidity in the nose. I think the 12 is the winner. Yes no doubt. Wife drank my 2012! Oh well 2013 which was two years ago. Uhhhh. Tons of coffee and chocolate taste is worse. Do not age.

UPDATED: AUG 14, 2017 By far one of the best stouts I ever had the pleasure of tasting. Medium weight, complex but easy to drink. Had it on tap, a great joy.

From a bottle. Pours a deep, dark black and makes a brown 2 finger head. Aroma is of roasted malted barley, booze, chocolate. Tastes of coffee, cocoa, and dark malts. Simply amazing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Full bodied and smooth stout. Chocolate, coffee, roast, sweet fruits, the typical oatmeal flavor, caramel. Nice bitter espresso finish. All in all well in balance. Lovely.

Cerveza color negro opaco a contraluz. Corona de espuma de buena retención de baja carbonatacion de color café oscuro. Aromas a café, cacao, maltas tostadas. Al paladar consistencia cremosa más aun así bebible y disfrutable, se percibe inmediatamente el café y después se nota el sabor a chocolate con un final ligeramente picante de canela. El sabor a café y chocolate permanece en el retrogusto. Excelente cerveza. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Strong coffee aroma. Some chocolate aroma. Dark but very clear. Taste the coffee up front. Less chocolate in the flavor profile. Some hops. Don't care for the heavy coffee. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Czarne, nieprzejrzyste. Goryczka niska, wysycenie dość wysokie, posmak kawowy, czekoladowy.
