COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The coffee lover’s consummate beer. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and imported chocolates and two types of coffee, this stout has an intense fresh-roasted java nose topped with a frothy, cinnamon-colored head that goes forever.

Draft at The Black Squirrel. Pours a dark black. Thin brown head with lots of retention. Nose is lots of coffee, some dark chocolate, but mostly coffee. Really thick palette. Vaguely reminds me of a Dunkin Donuts Mocha Coolatta. I know it’s sacrilegious to compare the two, but meh. Lots of coffee and roasted malt flavor. Overall very good, but you knew that from the other 1200 ratings. I prefer the Canadian Breakfast Stout, which I think has a more complex flavor profile.

Cuerpo medio algo espumoso y fino. Cierta densidad. Bastante buena para repetir sin duda.

Pours a rich dark brown with a thin mocha colored head. Aromas of molasses, malts and overripe cherries. Creamy and rich in the mouth with a nice dark chocolate flavor and a bit of bitter coffee. A lot of flavor in this beer without being overpowering. Not overly sweet and no alcohol flavor. This is a yummy stout to be sure.

Smooth. Full-bodied. Very creamy. Lightly carbonated. Balanced with a lingering bitterness. Strong notes of coffee and chocolate. All in all a solid stout ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A coffe lovers paradise. Pours a midnight black. dark chocolate, toasted oatmeal and of course dark roasted coffee on the nose. Tastes just like it smells, delicious! Not too syrupy, sweet or thick like most other stouts. What a champion!

I was fortunate enough to pick up a 12 oz single of Breakfast Stout recently in Plano, TX at Total Wine, my thanks. Going into my ABGB tasting glass the brew is a classic stout midnight black. No light on the other side of this. The frothy mahogany top quickly disperses to a brown rim around the glass. An inviting nose, there is chocolate, vanilla and black licorice. We get to the payoff, a taste, and I get bittersweet chocolate, tobacco, oak, maybe a bit of caramel. Nicely bitter throughout, this is fine.

UPDATED: AUG 14, 2017 By far one of the best stouts I ever had the pleasure of tasting. Medium weight, complex but easy to drink. Had it on tap, a great joy.
