Draft. Dark gold with a small white head. Sweet sugary hoppy nose. Taste starts off bitter then some sweetness comes in. Finishes bitter and a bit alcoholic. Slightly sticky and full body. Just a little too heavy to session but pretty decent beer.

Bottle, purchased in Ohio. I dont see any dating on the bottle. Pours hazy, dark amber with good head. Aroma is sweet malt with hops, quite a nice malt-hop balance for an IPA. Taste is predominantly bitter citrusy hop, but there is malt coming through. Fairly dry style, which gives the bitterness the edge in aftertaste. Quite an excellent IPA; I should have purchased a flat instead of a couple of singles to taste. As noted by others, the ABV is well-hidden.

Pours that amber IPA color with a minimal light orange head. Smells of hops. I had a Goose Island IPA right before and with the comparison I can say that you taste the alcohol a little bit more in this one which is probably because it has a higher content. Overall a great beer, the finish still hits you with those hops.

Not my favorite American IPA, but damn near perfect for the style. Great hop profile, but the malts provide an equilibrium rare for the style.

Aroma floral, earthy, bittering hops, citrus, some light cereal and toasty notes. Taste cereal grain, citrus, earthy, floral, toasty, slight breadiness, nice malt to bitter balance. MF medium chewy body good carb. Really tasty smells great and super easy to drink its scary that this beer clocks in at over 7 abv.

Draft at the Nook. Dark orange in the glass with a creamy off-white head that left good lacing. Aroma of pine and floral. The flavor found big citrus hop, light floral and a malt backing. Medium body with a smooth, mild bitterness.

UPDATED: FEB 29, 2012 Bottle @ home, courtesy of my baby brother Jetson. Thanks! A touch hazy, dark copper orange appearance with a cream colored head. Quite spicy (rye-like), earthy, light orange citrusy hoppy, toasty malty aroma. Fairly toasty, a touch charred yet light malty, spicy, earthy hoppy flavor. Nice fucking beer.

Pours an almost orange with a head leaving a very thin white lacing. This beer has a mouthfeel which is all IPA, very full. The introduction of the hops are quick to appear and slow to disappear being quite mature and pleasant, not overly bitter, not overly flowery. A well built ale.

12oz bottle, decently fresh just 2 weeks out. Pours a great darker amber hue, great head and lacing. Aromas are vibrant with floral and bitter hops, citrus, but really right up front telling you its an IPA. Palate follows so nicely, the bittering hops rip the outside edge and leave a lingering bitter citrus finish. The abv suits this one well, its worth the higher pack price tag since you dont need to drink more than 2 in any given night.
