COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Selected as a benchmark for the Beer Judge Certification Program used in all American based beer judgings. Centennial IPA has quickly become the IPA of choice. Pour yourself a pint of this complex flavorful ale and bask in the frothy head’s floral bouquet. Relish the immense citrus accents, achieved by the abundance of dry hopping. This ale’s sweet, malty undertones balance the hop character with a finish that never turns too bitter.

Bottle. Orange peel, pine and caramel malt aroma. Golden yellow color with small but resilient head. Sweet orange initially followed by a moderately strong bitter orange peel hops flavor. Body a bit light. Good but pretty average - malt subdued.

Truly a benchmark. The dry hop comes through strong but not overbearing. Not the best IPA I’ve ever had, but a solid performer.

Thanks to Pat for this. Pours a cloudy dark red yellow with a small white top and good lacing. Aroma is big citrus hops and sweet malt profile. Taste is rich citrus and sweet malt balance. Great beer, easily quaffable for 7.2%.

Pours a hazy amber orange with a nice white head. Aroma is all citrus with pine. Taste is full of flavor.....citrusy with blends of grapefruit, peaches and slight mango. To my palate I tasted soap, which I did not enjoy..Finish is dry and short. Easily drinkable.Quaff Score ( drinkability with hearty enjoyment ) 7 / 10

Pours an orange-amber with an off white head and a hoppy, floral aroma. Taste is excellent, of hops, pine, grapefruit, and grass with a nice, dry, smooth finish. A lot of flavor in this brew, great everyday drinking IPA.

UPDATED: MAY 9, 2012 Poured out of a bottle into a pint glass. Amber in color with an off white head that vanishes quickly. Smells like citrusy hops. Lacing on the glass is beautiful. Taste of malt up front changing into spicy hops later. This is a solid IPA. Founders does it again. Never disappoints. This beer works very well with your favorite bbq dish.

Well made IPA. Aroma is flowery with a bit of citrus. taste is a bit of malt followed by hops and a bitterness on the palate. Good for pairing with food; alone its bitterness is a bit much.

Bottle. Hoppy aroma at first but has some malty aroma that I noticed halfway through. The flavor is of hops with some mild citrus. It is bitter on the tongue but mellows quickly after swallowing. Decent overall.
