I have walked many miles to pound Gods finest ambrosia: Blatz! I daresay I would walk across my worst enemies testicles, to have a sip of this stuff. But I would walk through fire---and God forbid---listen to Lady Gaga to get back to Blatz. If you have this junk: FINE. Just dont put it in the fridge next to your Blatz, for fear that the unpalatable elixir will put its "funk of spunk" into your Blatz. Believe it!

Tasted on 4/12/11 on draft at Binnys South Loop. Pours clear light amber with an average white head that recedes to thin and even lace. The nose is hoppy, dank, cardamom herbal, and resinous with some brown sugar and a pleasant caramel malt backbone. The flavor is lightly sweet brown sugar up front, moving to resin and herbal hops bitterness, and a solid caramel malt backbone. The body is medium with average stinging carbonation and a long bitter resin finish.

It poured an amber color with a nice off white head. The aroma was hoppy and somewhat piney. The flavor was also somewhat piney hops but not overpowering. It was a very solid IPA.

12oz bottle. Pours a deep amber color with a nice white head and some lacing. Aroma is hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, all typical of a good centennial IPA. Medium on the palate with average carbonation. Taste is malty sweet up front with a clean, bitter, hop finish. An excellent IPA.

Well I love everything Founders. It was kinda of light in the flavor and had a quick finish. Good for a starter beer.

12oz bottle poured into my De Struise glass... Pours dark orange, semi clear. There is a huge tope head, good retention. The top of the cap is ugly though as its lots of big water bubbles, not a tight enough formation. Poor lacing... The aroma is great, reminds me of a fresh Daisy Cutter. Enough malt character on the front with a hint of caramel and grapefruits to balance the hop pine finish. An almost perfect marriage... The taste is good but a let down from the nose, I was expecting greatness, got above averageness. The front is not very smooth rough and stale citrus, malt character is gone. The hops are really muted, the are present but not as fresh, maybe this is old...The mouthfeel is nice, very full, coats my mouth for several minutes...Quaffable at 7.2%. Good not great, but I would gladly drink again, wouldnt buy a sixer though.

Pretty good IPA. Not the best Ive ever had, I would have liked more bite to it. However it was very smooth and I still enjoyed it for the most part, Id recommend it even though its not a top tier IPA.

A hazy orange copper colored beer. Nice citrus aroma, medium mouthfeel. Malty beginning ends with a nice citrus hop bitterness, very dry finish. A very well balanced beer.
