Bottle @ Guidos. Clear Orange amber, low off white head. Spicy citrus and light resin aroma. Beautiful spicy Centennial hop showcase, lots of nice fruity character, smooth mouthfeel, medium bitter finish. Very tasty.

Bottle, A very nice, well balanced IPA. Aroma and taste is citrusy, and malt is too. Another great Founders beer.

Bottle. Hazy (when bottle fully poured) amber with a thick soapy creme white head that leaves good traces. Sweet aroma with lots of caramel and flowery hops, tropical fruits like peach, mango and grapefruit. Lots of sweet malt with caramel and cookie in the taste too (i like that). Makes the bitterness quite smooth. Grapefruit, pineapple, peach, resin and pineneedles. Sweet and quite smooth but ends fairly bitter. Medium body with small light bubbles. Sweet and smooth ipa with a fairly mellow bitterness. I like it though.

UPDATED: MAY 7, 2011 12oz bottle. Amazing orange color; it might be because I nearly knocked the glass over but the bubbles are really lively. I had some brew-pub IPAs that were way too bitter last night, but the drinkability of this one compared to those is like night and day. It still has a bitter flavor, but its not excessive. Texture is perfect, not overly carbonated like Flying Dogs IPA seems to be... Nice and crisp tasting. Pleasant floral hops taste that makes the aftertaste a welcome feature. One of the top 3 IPAs Ive ever had, wish this one was easier to find.

Slightly clouded, medium orange color. Floral hops and maltiness dominate the aroma with very slight bitter apple flavor. Much less bitter than expected, moderately sweet. The lighter body was also a surprise for the 7% abv.

Pours a cloudy copper color with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma of citrus and floral hops with hints of alcohol. Flavor of floral and citrus hops with a nice malty backbone. Has a thin watery finish with a decent amount of bitterness that lasts a while. I could drink this all day.

UPDATED: JUN 3, 2014 One of the better IPAs I have had, nice full flavor, perfect amount of hops and malt, like the bitterness as well, a bit dry but only adds to the flavor, citrus and floral hops abound. Well done, one of my favorite IPAs

I have walked many miles to pound Gods finest ambrosia: Blatz! I daresay I would walk across my worst enemies testicles, to have a sip of this stuff. But I would walk through fire---and God forbid---listen to Lady Gaga to get back to Blatz. If you have this junk: FINE. Just dont put it in the fridge next to your Blatz, for fear that the unpalatable elixir will put its "funk of spunk" into your Blatz. Believe it!

Tasted on 4/12/11 on draft at Binnys South Loop. Pours clear light amber with an average white head that recedes to thin and even lace. The nose is hoppy, dank, cardamom herbal, and resinous with some brown sugar and a pleasant caramel malt backbone. The flavor is lightly sweet brown sugar up front, moving to resin and herbal hops bitterness, and a solid caramel malt backbone. The body is medium with average stinging carbonation and a long bitter resin finish.
