Slightly clouded, medium orange color. Floral hops and maltiness dominate the aroma with very slight bitter apple flavor. Much less bitter than expected, moderately sweet. The lighter body was also a surprise for the 7% abv.

Pours a cloudy copper color with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma of citrus and floral hops with hints of alcohol. Flavor of floral and citrus hops with a nice malty backbone. Has a thin watery finish with a decent amount of bitterness that lasts a while. I could drink this all day.

UPDATED: JUN 3, 2014 One of the better IPAs I have had, nice full flavor, perfect amount of hops and malt, like the bitterness as well, a bit dry but only adds to the flavor, citrus and floral hops abound. Well done, one of my favorite IPAs

I have walked many miles to pound Gods finest ambrosia: Blatz! I daresay I would walk across my worst enemies testicles, to have a sip of this stuff. But I would walk through fire---and God forbid---listen to Lady Gaga to get back to Blatz. If you have this junk: FINE. Just dont put it in the fridge next to your Blatz, for fear that the unpalatable elixir will put its "funk of spunk" into your Blatz. Believe it!

Tasted on 4/12/11 on draft at Binnys South Loop. Pours clear light amber with an average white head that recedes to thin and even lace. The nose is hoppy, dank, cardamom herbal, and resinous with some brown sugar and a pleasant caramel malt backbone. The flavor is lightly sweet brown sugar up front, moving to resin and herbal hops bitterness, and a solid caramel malt backbone. The body is medium with average stinging carbonation and a long bitter resin finish.

It poured an amber color with a nice off white head. The aroma was hoppy and somewhat piney. The flavor was also somewhat piney hops but not overpowering. It was a very solid IPA.

12oz bottle. Pours a deep amber color with a nice white head and some lacing. Aroma is hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, all typical of a good centennial IPA. Medium on the palate with average carbonation. Taste is malty sweet up front with a clean, bitter, hop finish. An excellent IPA.

Well I love everything Founders. It was kinda of light in the flavor and had a quick finish. Good for a starter beer.
