It poured an amber color with a nice off white head. The aroma was hoppy and somewhat piney. The flavor was also somewhat piney hops but not overpowering. It was a very solid IPA. sherm1016 (1274) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - APR 9, 2011
12oz bottle. Pours a deep amber color with a nice white head and some lacing. Aroma is hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, all typical of a good centennial IPA. Medium on the palate with average carbonation. Taste is malty sweet up front with a clean, bitter, hop finish. An excellent IPA. mxtur (266) - Michigan, USA - APR 6, 2011
Well I love everything Founders. It was kinda of light in the flavor and had a quick finish. Good for a starter beer. abemorsten (3652) - Mosterøy, NORWAY - APR 5, 2011
Shared bottle at Melkebaren, Sandnes.
Hazy orange-golden with an off-white film.
Floral, mash, malts, alcohol and herbs among the aromas. Alcoholic, sweet and citrus peel bitter flavors. Full body, syrupy texture and medium carbonation.

12oz bottle poured into my De Struise glass... Pours dark orange, semi clear. There is a huge tope head, good retention. The top of the cap is ugly though as its lots of big water bubbles, not a tight enough formation. Poor lacing... The aroma is great, reminds me of a fresh Daisy Cutter. Enough malt character on the front with a hint of caramel and grapefruits to balance the hop pine finish. An almost perfect marriage... The taste is good but a let down from the nose, I was expecting greatness, got above averageness. The front is not very smooth rough and stale citrus, malt character is gone. The hops are really muted, the are present but not as fresh, maybe this is old...The mouthfeel is nice, very full, coats my mouth for several minutes...Quaffable at 7.2%.
Good not great, but I would gladly drink again, wouldn’t buy a sixer though. thefle (167) - , New Jersey, USA - MAR 27, 2011
Pretty good IPA. Not the best I’ve ever had, I would have liked more bite to it. However it was very smooth and I still enjoyed it for the most part, I’d recommend it even though it’s not a top tier IPA. Ulfada (257) - North Carolina, USA - MAR 24, 2011
A hazy orange copper colored beer. Nice citrus aroma, medium mouthfeel. Malty beginning ends with a nice citrus hop bitterness, very dry finish. A very well balanced beer. someviking (132) - old bridge, New Jersey, USA - MAR 22, 2011
pours a slightly hazy orange golden color with a decent head. head stays along for awhile actually. citrus/floral hops in the nose. delicious hop flavor. centennial hops are so well balanced and make such great beers. sweet citrus flavors upfront followed by some pleasant malts as well. great ipa from a great brewery! complex, flavorful with an intoxicating
floral. Bouquet. Big citrus accents with a sweet malty backbone that
keeps the finish from being too bitter. Great ipa
