Growler from Whole Foods in Fair Lakes, VA. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a thin white head. Aroma is a very clean, lots of citrus hops. Flavor has a bit of malt, a lot of hop bitterness, spicy citrus and some grass. Finish has lots of hop bitterness.

this is a great IPA. I think I need to drink this side by side with Bells Two Hearted. This isnt overly hopped like is the trend. It has an excellent balance with some great caramel sweetness. Love it.

Clear copper pour with a sizable white frothy head that lasts and sticks nicely. The aroma is pervasive upon opening, exuding notes of citrus, floral hoppy perfume, and pine resin. Further sniffs yield tropical fruits such as mango and pineapple, as well as some caramel and biscuit malt to round out the malt character. The flavor starts with a nice resinous stickyness that is balanced well by some caramel and toffee notes. Orange and grapefruit citrus character combines with some floral and spicy herbal notes to create a nice arrangement. The palate is creamy and soft due to fine bubbled carbonation, and finishes sticky and resinous. A great example of the style.

Sweet hop aroma. Clear orange color with a large white head. Malty bitter beginning getting sweeter in the finish and fading in the end.

Finally got my hands on this one. Despite the IBU rating (which in my mind is suspect, anyway), this is a hoptacular beer. Flavor is out of this world delicious, resiny hops with a solid sweetness to back it up. Definitely a regular fridge-filler if available in your area.

12 fl. oz. bottle from De Bierkoning. Amber color. Strong resiny & citrussy aroma upon opening the bottle, quickly mellowing, with some malty sweetness and fruitiness coming up. Hopbitter taste with some malty sweetness. Flavor lingers on. Nice, relatively mild IPA.

Bottle. Pours a nice hazy orange color, with a lot of yeast floaties, and a big frothy off white head. Aroma is of floral hops, caramel malts, soap, citrus and just the slightest amount of pine. The flavor is quite bitter, with a decent amount of floral hops and caramel and biscuity malts. I also get some soap, pine (more than in the nose), citrus (less than in the nose) and some resiny hops. The body is light to meduim, with a quite dry mouthfeel. Overall a good American IPA, that is way more malty that the average American IPA.

Sweet caramel nose with dark citrus hops, almost smells like rum. Appearance is translucent, unfiltered dark gold with creamy tan head. Flavor matches the nose, with a wonderful caramel malt backbone, Grassy, slight liquorish hop presence is perfectly balanced here. Palate is bubbly and creamy. Really, one of the most fantastic American beers that has touched my lips.

Bottle acquired via trade with Tanger...thanks Jon. Bright copper penny pour with a nicely formed 1/2 inch ivory head. Aroma is fruity, with candied citrus and a hint of pine. Flavor shows orange peel, caramel, and honey...a tad sweet but overall pretty well balanced. Ample carbonation.
