Murky amber orange brown color with decent head. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Crisp hop flavors swirling with a grapefruit tartness. Balancing caramel malt. Fruity bitter aftertaste. Very tasty IPA!

Nice floral copper pour with good head and lasting ring on glass. Potent hops presence but not overwhelming and balanced by airy coppered caramel notes with toasted sugars. These malts offset the pungent piney, citrusy, quality as well as the flowery hoppy aspects. Well balanced and well enjoyed.

UPDATED: APR 11, 2010 on tap at Taco Mac on 4/11/10. arrived a deep golden with a 1 finger head... big floral and citrus nose... this just breathes hops... medium body with a big bitter coating... some lingering malt in the back... really big aggressive hop forward IPA.

bottle on 11 14 08. murky dark golden with a half inch white head - quarter inch throughout. some malty hops on the aroma. medium body, hops up front and through the back. very soft on the sides. not a hop bomb in any fashion... not sure when my bottle was brewed. could be a little old. much more balanced IPA.

[Bottle] Pours a transparent copper color with a nice looking white head. Aroma of fresh citrus, light pine and a good amount of malt. Thick mouthfeel, with oily pine notes and clean grapefruit. Some biscuit and grass in the finish. The excellent balance is really what makes this beer. Although the hoppiness is not that strong, this is one of the more enjoyable IPAs in my book.

Bottle. Pours a crystalline amber with a tall, frothy head. I can tell by the aroma that I am in for one seriously hoppy beer, though the aroma itself is not extremely strong given the style. Straight up pure Centennial in the nose with piercing pine and subtler citrus. Pretty dank stuff. The mouthfeel is just a little sticky, great for the style. Yeah. This is a perfectly clean hop delivery for those in need of a serious IPA. Dank ganja, pine, and decent citrus with woody afterthoughts and a timid caramel sweetness. I would expect nothing less from Founders. They pull off such a variety of beers with amazing finesse.

Orangish copperish color with a decent tan head. Floral, piney hop aroma with notes of caramel. Fresh and green tasting with hints of grapefruit and pine. Strong caramel background. Decent.

12oz bottle. Pours a murky orange with a foamy white head. Heavy carbonation. Aroma is of hops, citrus, and caramel. The caramel is very prevalent in the aroma. Very bitter taste of hops, bubblegum, and pine, with a strong caramel malt presence underlying. Very light body. Finish is extremly bitter and dry. Mouthfeel is very sticky. Less hops for bitterness, and a few more for sweetness might have helped to even this beer out.

12 oz. Clear copper with a lasting half inch of foam and crunchy lace. Aromas of resin, caramel, citrus and light cocoa. Flavors of caramel and grapefruit on the front with resin and toasted nut more pronounced on the long dry finish. Balanced aftertaste of bitter resin and Fruit Loops. Almost medium body is too fizzy and airy.

Pours slightly hazy copper color with a frothy off white head. Nice pine and grapefruit hop aroma. Wonderfully balanced flavor, sweet toffee and caramel malts with the perfect amount of pine, grapefruit and grassy hops. Full body with a nice sticky palate, the somewhat high alcohol content is very well hidden. Excellent IPA.

Taste 11/8 Bottle. Looks: Clear Amber body with a thin, heavy head. Aroma : Nice pine and citrus mix. A little malt, some roast. Taste: Nice hop to malt balance. Fullness of taste and aroma. Spicy and well blended.
