Surprisingly malt/hop balanced for a fairly high ABV IPA. This is one fine brew that manages to be full flavored, hop oily, moderately high IBU, and yet strikes that nice drinkable balanced flavor. Very unusual IPA that I didnt even know was available in Central Oregon until yesterday. Welcome to Deschutes Country, Founders!

Bottled 03.01.17. A: Grapefruit, pineapple, and caramel. It sure smells like an old school IPA. A: See through dark amber body. T: Follows the nose with added pine. P: Nicely crisp and bubbly, with resin on the back end. O: Its a pretty solid, well balanced, old school IPA.

Cans left over from grandmas 90th birthday party- nice caramel color with good carbonation. Grassy and earthy notes; great nose. Hoppiness right away but mixed with slight sweetness. Then a flood of welcome bitterness.

Its a pretty solid IPA. It pours a beautiful Amber color with a nice head. It has a pleasant hop aroma and it doesnt finish too bitterly. The Hops are flavorful without being too annoying. Its a little light, but it it good.
