UPDATED: APR 9, 2013 Foamy head. Pleasant floral aroma that sweetens as it warms. Strong hop flavor, grapefruit, pine. Well balanced sweet malt keeps hops from over powering. Malt comes out more as it warms. This is the quintessential ipa. Centennial hops keeps things crisp, but with some earthyness. Finish never gets too bitter.

Somehow I failed to rate this although Ive been drinking it occasionally for years. Not my favorite because of the mildly bitter finish, but a good change from all the Lagunitas Sucks I customarily drink. Can into a Belgian ale glass, nice amber color with a lot of foam which recedes to a persistent thin white covering. Very attractive in the glass. Aroma is complex, malty, floral, citrus-y. The flavor is mild sweet malt, pine, some citrus and spice. It is complicated but very well balanced and enjoyable. Pretty classic left-coast style IPA.

Floral aroma in an amber copper pour. Laid back hop forward balance with a sweet caramel malt body and restrained bitter finish. Definitely a distinctive take on the style that is different from either of the coastal (both east and west) versions.

355 ml can. Full, piney, leafy and somewhat fruity aroma. Taste brings fruit such as mango, and a lot of piney, floral flavours. Malt sweetness hits you first and after that you get hit by the massive hop flavour. It blossoms out in your mouth and it feels very pleasant, it doesnt overwhelm at all. The taste lasts a long time and the mouthfeel is somewhat oily and with a medium body.

Bottle/Fest. A- Caramel, bready, citrus. A- Golden orange color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Caramel, bready, citrus. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, bready finish. O- A bit of a throw back style IPA. Heavy on the caramel and bready malt with a touch of citrus and a touch of bitterness. Not bad.

Botella en 99Cervezas. Precioso color mbar ajerezado perfectamente transparente.

Brassy amber with a decent frothy head. Zesty Centennial hop nose of grapefruit and spicy floral character with a touch of dankness. The body is delightfully spicy, dank, and characterized by fruity and floral hops. Nice Crystal malt backbone shines through. Some woody notes arise from the background. Solid IPA.

Bottle from Hopt. Aroma is bready malt, fruity hops, strong citrus, orange, pine resin, mild caramel with a touch of grapefruit. Flavour is light to moderate sweet with a bitter finish. Body is medium. Firm citrussy and piney hops, lots of orange with a sturdy caramel malt backbone, good bittersweet flavour. Lovely IPA.
