Draft sample at MBGF Summer08. Poured a hazy reddish brown color with a moderate frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate tart cherry and malty aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable brew. hopdog (12953) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 1, 2009
On tap at Capones. Poured a medium pinkish/amerish color with a smaller sized pinkish tinged head. Aromas of cherries with some yeastiness. Tastes of cherries with lighter yeastiness. UPDATED: FEB 3, 2010 Like cherry juice that is carbonated, pours extremely red with fluffy white head. Not bad, but not a fan of beer like this. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 14, 2008
On tap at GTMW. Poured clear copper with a pinkish-white head. The aroma picked up drier wheat and tart cherries with a dusty pale malt backing.. not bad. The flavor found semi-sweet, dry cherries along with some tangy skins.. more sour toward the back with more cherries and wheat.. dry on the finish. Lighter-bodied with high carbonation on the palate.. nice and refreshing. BBB63 (6557) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - JUL 30, 2008
2008 MiBGF: Very red appearance with very good lace, The weak nose has some cherry pit, wheat, and biscuity malt. The taste is fruity cherries of course with a pale malt and even a touch oaky finish. The mouth feel is lively and dry. Better flavor than aroma, standard fruit ale, at least it not cloy.

On tap at the ’08 MBG festival. This is a very red beer with a fizzy white head and a very fresh cherry nose. Very fresh tart cherry flavors. It’s like a cherry pie, crust and all. White sugar sweetness. This is a nice fruit beer. GeneralGao (3614) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - AUG 24, 2008
GTMW ’08. Poured a clear medium orange-red color. Pinkinsh white head. I smelled some sweet malt, but not much else. Medium bodied and initially sweet with subdued pale malt and dark cherry flavors. Dry-ish at the end with a bit of tart fruit to finish things off. WeeHeavySD (3387) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 16, 2008
Growler via trade with Organized Chaos from the beerspot. Pours light orange with a tan head. Nose is sweet with light cherry. Taste is sweet and light and full of some cherry flavor. Not an amazing fruit beer but worth a try Silphium (3199) - Traverse City, Michigan, USA - AUG 4, 2008
On tap at Founders. Red cherry syrup body, medium tight white head. Nose of cherries and modest hops; body of cherry (light syrup), sweet with moderate tartness, paired with light bitter grassy hops. Straightforward fruit beer meant to be refreshing and easy to drink. BOSSbrewer (2705) - Arkansas, USA - SEP 22, 2013
Lots and lots of cherries in this. Not a beer for every day but would be nice with some dry cheese for dessert. Had on tap in GR.
