Unclear medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, light beige head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, caramel, heavy hoppy, pine, orange. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy deep orange to amber with a fully gone head. Dense pinewood hoppy aroma. Solid sweet malty at first but with a very intense dark hoppy flavour following. Quite dominant and almost overempowering. Solid roasted caramel malt for base providing some decent counter balance to this. Ungstrup (39547) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUN 10, 2005
A hazy amber beer with a small disappearing orange head. The aroma is super hoppy - with lots of alfa acid - lovely but overpowers any other aromas. The flavor is like chewing on fresh hops giving the impression of lots of alfa acids, hop oil, and a bitter end. Nice one. joergen (30226) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 25, 2005

Hazy deep red-amber beer. Light silky palate. Immediate alcohol aniseed and rich bitter hops. Lingering rich malt and a long bitter hop aftertaste. An intense IPA with some barleywine character. Carbonated bite to finish. Marvelous!
Draft at Birreria Paradiso. Variegated honey color, thick white head, massive lacing. Aroma of subtle leeks. Taste of caramel and straw, very smooth and tasty. cgarvieuk (27059) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 11, 2009

Bottled. Copper colour, small slightly off-white head. Aroma is caramel malts, some fruits, mild toffee and resiny notes with mild sweet alcohol as well. Flavour is quite strong on the floral and fruity bitterness, but also has some sweet malts, mild alcohol as well as some nutty and slight spicy notes to it as well. Big brew, but still very balanced. (Bottle 35,5 cl) Beautiful, dark amber - almost yellowish brown head. Fat aromas of alcohol and hops. Extremely potent body, lots of sweetness and caramel on a bed of hops, hops, hops. And hops. 200+ IBUs, 10 different hop varieties and dry-hopped in 26 days is extreme by any standard. 240705
