Founders most complex, most innovative, most feared and yet most revered ale produced. Massive in complexity the huge malt character balances the insane amount of alphas used to create this monster. More IBUs than any brewery has documented, more than you would believe and dry-hopped for twenty-six days straight with a combination of 10 hop varieties. Dangerously drinkable and deliciously evil. We dare you to dance with the Devil. 112 IBUs

Draft. Pours ruby red with thin white head that lingers. Smells of cherry with light carbonation. Pine meets cherry? Boozy and overrated. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Got this sampler bottle some time back and well it got pushed back and forgotten. Today I was going through my beer fridge and found it. Being 12% it should still be good after sitting for 8 months. Amber with small head that lingers. At first smell it was pine but then more citrus followed by fruit and many other aromas. Taste was a blast of hops followed by the alcohol. Really tried to pick out the malt but it was just too hidden. Seriously interesting IPA and this summer hope to get more than just one and have it while it is summer. Might be even better only a month or two old rather than eight.

Keg @El Coleccionista, Gijn. 15-01-2017.
In short: rough bitter ale.
Pours quite hazy amber with nice off white head. Moderate head retention, good lacing. Ripe fruit, caramel, roasty nose. Medium to full body, soft carbonation, oily texture. Taste is quite bitter, still some alcohol sweetness. Quite robust, a bit excesive and palate saturating.

Bottle from Alko. Dark amber color, white head. Bitter taste with grapefruit, caramel, hops, resin, pine, a bit of mango and grass. Bitter finish with grapefruit, caramel, hops, resin and pine. Very nice brew, but a bit too over the top for me.

Btl pours a slightly hazy amber color with a huge tight tan colored head that hangs on for awhile leaving lots of lace on glass. Aromas of malt, alcohol and fruitcake, holiday cookies, earth and hop resin. Tastes of sweet caramel/ toffee a hint of orange/ lemon, malt, and a hint of alcohol. Huge body, excellent carbonation, soft smooth mouthfeel and a mildly bitter, alcohol finish. There is alot going on with this beer, way too many flavors to describe. I would call this a winter warmer except the date on btl is from summer. This is a BIG beer! Absolutely a fantastic beer! If I had one more I might dance with the devil.

Bottle from beautiful beers I think. Clear red to copper color. Thin persistent beige head. Taste is medium sweet, medium bitter. Aroma and flavour is orange, hops, resin, pine, mango, meat, spices, pepper. A bit hardcore, but still, cool stuff.

Bottle from Total Wine & More, St. Petersburg. Amber, clear, with a little bit of carbonation. Smell is... fuck me. Caramel, toast, massive resin. And booze, booze, booze. Taste is much more balanced, less boozy. Theres the hop bitterness of course but its overlaid by a thick malty sweetness. The alcohol hits again in the finish, resplendent with bitter hop oils. Cherry and pine in the aftertaste. This is intense and frightening. Im ignoring the inevitable balance issues and giving this a full on yes.

355ml bottle (Alko Arkadia, Helsinki)
Wooof! Thats a hot aroma. Big bitter hop component, pine needles super concentrated. Sweet slick palate, but resinily bitter hops too. Tons of sweet caramel, toffee, in the taste, a ton of resins. Finish leaves me with alcoholic vapours, and monstrously bold bittering hops. Not actually bad, but not particularly drinkable either. Id rather be brainfucked by a 9% lithuanian lager - one PET bottle will do, than this. However, I can fight my way to the bottom of the bottle. Hot stuff!
