Founders most complex, most innovative, most feared and yet most revered ale produced. Massive in complexity the huge malt character balances the insane amount of alphas used to create this monster. More IBUs than any brewery has documented, more than you would believe and dry-hopped for twenty-six days straight with a combination of 10 hop varieties. Dangerously drinkable and deliciously evil. We dare you to dance with the Devil. 112 IBUs

Bottle from 啤酒阿姨 in Shanghai at home in HK. Dark copper amber pour with dense persistent white head. Aroma is candied dark fruit, oily resin, nutty malt. Not so fresh unfortunately but still interesting. Slightly barleywine-ish. Taste is similar to other giant IPAs, which arent usually my favorite. Huge boozy bitter bite, dark fruit, heavy sweet bready malt in the background. Palate definitely heavy but not too syrupy. Lasting tingly bitter boozy burn. Good but wouldnt get again.

Cloudy copper pour with a small off white head. Loads of pine, citrus, pineapple... all cranked up to an intense level. Thick, chewy caramel malts. Massive lingering bitter finish... a bit too bitter for my tastes to be honest.

Perfectly balanced heavy malty character (mainly based on caramel) with strong hoppy profile. Highly drinkable, ABV is perfectly hidden. Hoppy aroma are moderately piney and citrus (oranges). In overall very chewy, oily, sweet and hoppy bastard. Very good brew.

Bottle at home (bb 10 May 2017). Pours hazy amber with almost no head. Aroma of sweet bready malts, piney resiny hops. Taste is heavy bitter, over moderate sweet, harsh resiny bitter and sweet malty aftertaste. Very nice, would love to try this fresh.

Got this sampler bottle some time back and well it got pushed back and forgotten. Today I was going through my beer fridge and found it. Being 12% it should still be good after sitting for 8 months. Amber with small head that lingers. At first smell it was pine but then more citrus followed by fruit and many other aromas. Taste was a blast of hops followed by the alcohol. Really tried to pick out the malt but it was just too hidden. Seriously interesting IPA and this summer hope to get more than just one and have it while it is summer. Might be even better only a month or two old rather than eight.

Keg @El Coleccionista, Gijn. 15-01-2017.
In short: rough bitter ale.
Pours quite hazy amber with nice off white head. Moderate head retention, good lacing. Ripe fruit, caramel, roasty nose. Medium to full body, soft carbonation, oily texture. Taste is quite bitter, still some alcohol sweetness. Quite robust, a bit excesive and palate saturating.
